This is Scott Shore's first contribution to Enter Stage Right. Hopefully its his last. He's inventing boogiemen where they don't exist.

I don't like the way the author has framed this, personally.

I agree that it's amateurish, but he's aiming in the right direction. I haven't seen any signs that paleos want to keep all Jews out of clubs, but he's dead on about their becoming like Amnesty International when it comes to Palestinians. As for Pat Buchanan, he was once a great hero of conservatism, but for the past decade or so he's become more and more obsessed with the issue of Israel. Whether or not you like Israel, it is wrong to accuse anyone of treason who disagrees with you on the subject.

I could NOT agree more with the sentiments expressed here!
Radicalism on the left is communism/marxism/anarchy. Radicalism on the right is fascism.
As "political" attitudes and world views move toward the extremes, when they reach a certain point they meet. They meet not at the same dogma, but join in their desire to destroy rather than build and nurture a civilization.

...the radicals wish to turn back the clock to a time when there was unquestioned white rule and Jews were kept out of the better clubs, especially conservative clubs. According to their view this is a white, Nordic or Aryan country whose social fiber is endangered not so much by leftism but by those orchestrating leftism for their own advantage -- the Jews, the Masons, the UN and Israel. The fact that trilateralism or the UN has been generally hostile to Israel is explained by some even more nefarious plot. To get into the mind of these people is to go to a dark place where every contradiction is a proof of a greater conspiracy. Such people hardly exist, in reality. Their numbers are so small as to be politically irrelevent, and attaching the moniker 'conservative' to them does nothing but drag down the millions of thinking actual conservatives who are working tirelessly to restore our free republic.
No racist has any right to bear the proud title of Conservative.

Radicalism on the left is communism/marxism/anarchy. Radicalism on the right is fascism. Fascism is never on the right. That's a myth invented by the left to cover up the fact that all fascists are socialists.

Unfortunately, Pat Buchanan, whether or not he believes such things himself, has thrown open the doors to people who do. Did you see the Reform Party Convention in 2000? It was unbelievable. He's even made friends with Murray Rothbard, who cheered the North Vietnamese victory in 1975. Now all the psychopaths at lewrockwell.com can claim to be mainstream, since if a former White House communications director likes them, they can't be all that bad.

The Reform Party is a joke, and no one will gain any credibility in the real world by associating themselves with it, or with Pat Buchanan. They are utterly irrelevent.

That is the problem with paleocons. Not that they hate Jews--I don't care what they
think--but the fact that they base their whole philosophy around it and want to rip apart our society for having a different view of things.
I remember how on the NewsMax forum there were always a group of Jew-haters who would always accuse anyone who differed with them of being a Jew, a sellout, and a closet liberal. Of course, the truth had nothing to do with our being PC; rather, it had to do with the fact that while Jews were enemies in their own diseased minds, Arab radicals were enemies in the here and now.

Yes, there is most certianly a "Radical Right" and just like the America Hating Radical Left is bad for the DemocRATs, these clowns are bad for Republicans.
And unfortunately, there are too many of them around here too...The one's who scream "The only good muslim is a dead muslim", "Islam is a death cult", "Nuke Mecca", "Islam is a religion of peace", "Intern all Arabs NOW" and other such bigoted, sweeping charges against 1.6 billion of the world's people.
But the odd thing is, they haven't been around much since these "Deranged, blood thirsty muslims" have been handing flowers to our service men and and kissing pictures of President Bush.
Hopefully they're gone for good, but i'm not holding my breath.

...1.6 billion of the world's people. That number is highly questionable.

The best way to deal with Pat Buchanan is to ignore him.

I agree that it's amateurish, but he's [Scott Shore] aiming in the right direction. If you're aiming to bash conservativism, quite so..
I haven't seen any signs that paleos want to keep all Jews out of clubs, but he's dead on about their becoming like Amnesty International when it comes to Palestinians.
Anti anti-semetic political hype. Give it up.
As for Pat Buchanan, he was once a great hero of conservatism, but for the past decade or so he's become more and more obsessed with the issue of Israel.
You seem to be obsessed with Pat.. He's a has been.
Whether or not you like Israel, it is wrong to accuse anyone of treason who disagrees with you on the subject.
Which you 'neo's are busy doing.
The neo anti 'constitutional conservative' agenda goes more obvious every day. You people intend to tar the 'paleos' in an effort to smear ALL conservatives.
Agit-prop works, and there is quite a nssty little contingent here on FR practicing the art.
