Super Ice Age 'Gave Evolution A Kick-Start' Independent (UK) ^ | 4-10-2003 | Charles Arthur

The appearance of the Earth's first multicelled organisms – which ultimately gave rise to humans – may have been triggered by the end of a super ice age in which the planet was a "snowball" for millions of years, scientists say.

The end of this ice age could have been the ideal opportunity for an explosion of new life, Andy Knoll, a palaeontologist from Harvard University, told New Scientist magazine. At such times, "you don't have to be good to win the game of evolution, you only have to be better than the other players", he said.

How does one palaeontologist writing his opinion get to mean "scientists say"? Was a vote taken? Was there a petition? Not to mention that he doesn't have any evidence, but what evidence do you need when "Scientists Say"? No, just simply state it as fact in the title and that's about all it takes.

Regards,
Boiler Plate

Yeah, what could cool the whole planet enough to freeze everything? And why do they think this frreze-thaw cycle wold create life? (Though in fairness, somnething seems to be growing at the bottom of my fridge!)

You must have read Clube & Napier's 1991 book, Cosmic Winter, huh?

Start with the unproven premise that is stated as fact:

The appearance of the Earth's first multicelled organisms – which ultimately gave rise to humans – may have been triggered by the end of a super ice age in which the planet was a "snowball" for millions of years, scientists say.

Refer to abioGenesis 1:1

End with closing quote from article:
"you don't have to be good to win the game of evolution, you only have to be better than the other players"

Pause briefly to laugh at the humor of this statement (both in and out of context)

Then go back to reality…
NOTE: Do not repeat, stay in reality!

Yup, just another evolutionist making stuff up without evidence. They are completely flumoxed by the Cambrian explosion some 200-250 million years later and this is the evolutionist attempt at solving the problem with rhetoric instead of facts - as usual.
