Question: What do the crew of 5,500 do while the ship undergoes 10 months of maintenance?

It still may have to fly some "sorties" over certain parts of Washington and California.

I don't know, but the USS Ronald Reagan joins the fleet on May 10th, I believe.

What do the crew of 5,500 do while the ship undergoes 10 months of maintenance? Stand fire watches and get early liberty most everyday ...

I hope the two local right wing hate radio stations, (just kidding), sponsors welcome home rallies. Time to call out the fighting 570th! A local radio stations name for their anti-anti-war protesters, of which I'm a proud member.

I have a lovely young delicate female relative who happens to be the Firing Officer on a DDG and was able to make a three minute phone call a couple of weeks ago from Pusan.
She said the whole crew was pretty sick from the high seas.
God, my heart goes out to these fine sailors!

They are so notoriously underpaid that they go on "Vampire Liberty" ....they sell their blood to the bloodbanks.
Been there, done that.

That date (May 10) has been set back I will be in Norfork when she will be turned over to the fleet.
Am awaiting for the exact date. It's been a long wait for me
and god willing I'll be there.
