Some of the devices contain high levels of radiation and could be potentially used in a "dirty bomb," said David Albright, a former IAEA inspector and president of the Institute for Science and International Security. At least the WA Compost got that part right, of course buried at the end of the article.
BTW, I wish they'd stop looters from carting off computers here and in other ministry buldings throughout the country. Wouldn't those hard drives contain records, personnel lists, etc. that we should know about?

I called the FOX tele-line last night and directed them to Paine's article seen here. So obviously FOX followed up and fleshed out the story today.
But a smoking gun of this size would finish off the democraps and the leftist media with the same shot.
Standby for more info ... it may not be true. Although it is safe to say the underground facility sure does show intent

FOX responded to its mail !
At the Pentagon News Briefing Brit Baier (sp?) raised a question about this find and the Briefers pleaded ignorant about it!
Then Linda Vesser (sp?) later interviewed a former UN Weapons inspector about this find and the facility. He says it is very interesting but we need to be patient and it definitely needs some very careful examination!

most editors and reporters have the scientific understanding of a Labrador retriever You shouldn't insult Labs that way. They can "sniff out" stuff that editors, reporters and of course UN and IAEC inspectors haven't a clue about.

Can someone explain all the references to Christmas. These people don't celebrate Christmas Actually some do. There is a signifigent Christian population in Iraq. Tariq Aziz came from that community. Notice, I did not say old Tariq is (or more appropriatly was) a Christian.

The story will eventually explode. As long as it's only the story that explodes, that will be fine. If a "work product" of this site does likewise, say in Dallas or Houston, that will be another thing entirely. I suppose there are those would still say it was a "Zionist" plot, and/or the US did it themselves. Or better yet, just a Hollywood special effect, like those Abrams tanks in the traffic circle near the Palistine Hotel. :)

I can't argue with the fact that Labrador Retievers have more common sense than newspaper editors, but they both have the same level of scientific knowledge.

Officials at the IAEA could not be reached for comment. Has Elbaradei (sp?) gone MIA along with Baghdad Bob?

Hey over at Du they are sayng that this is a fraud. Dontchaknow the engineers came in pumped out all the water excavated the tunnels and brought in all the radioactive materials to "trump-up" charges of nuclear development....Semper Delerious
Delerious, delusional........... I can think of a few more choice adjectives to describe the "opinions" of the DU-ers.
Assuming you're back here in the States these days?

...and here, Hussein buried it in unlined drums in an aquifer next to a river!Oh, boy...
So where are the Greenpeace useful idiots just when we need them?!
To: KansasConservative1
That card doesn't sound too Christmassy to me, but there is a Christian minority in Iraq... mostly Chaldean Christians, I believe. The Iraqi official Tariq Aziz is a "Christian."
Baghdad Bob is a Shia
Most everyone else in Hussein's government, though, are Sunni or not religious at all.
It's entirely possible that many of his scientists are Christians. Or were Christians- he may have killed a lot of them since he had them all under house arrest during the inspections phase.
*** OFF TOPIC ALERT ***
Oohrah, wow, just heard Col. Perkins, 2nd Brigade commander, 3rd ID just came on Fox... said they had one guy taken out on a stretcher but he had a shotgun on his lap... when some Iraqis fired on them, the guy on the stretcher picked up the shotgun and wasted them while he was being carried!
