"Sandy, I heard on the radio news this morning (David Cheter(sp?)), Sky News, that he had seen Bagdad Bob hop into a sedan this morning(evening, Iraq time),with some of his staff, and drive off towards the north."
Well, now, isn't that interesting? Straight into the waiting arms of our troops lurking near Tikrit?

Ramesh Pommeru,
NRO: There may be some gloating from hawks over the next week, or weeks. Much of it will be ugly; some of it will be unfair. There will be high-minded calls to refrain from such gloating. These calls should be resisted. When a lot of people get the big questions wrong, they deserve a few I-told-you-sos, and their future predictions should be taken more skeptically. That's what happened to those supply-siders who made excessive claims about Clinton's tax hike in 1993, and it's what should happen now.

It's a closure, maybe. The OKC bombing was a child of both our national disgrace of the Waco Massacre and out national wimp-out after Gulf War I. The Iraqis were involved in OKC ... that seems to be clear.

They briefly showed the cameras in front of Combover's apartment, but he never came out. I think we should make him go back to Bahdad and let the free Iraqis deal with him.
How much you want to bet he applies for asylum?!

Combover is on our list of most wanted Iraqis. He's not leaving his apartment for good reason.

I will celebrate with him, but the Kurds will go wild with Mosul and the northern cities falling even more, if you can imagine that.

I'm fairly sure it wasn't originally intended as a pro-US sign. It doesn't, in fact, say "Go home, human shields, you US wankers." It has "HUMAN SHIELDS" printed on it, and then someone wrote, "Go home, US wankers," which is not really plausible as an expression of support for the US military. It's much more reasonable to suppose that it was a typically juvenile and semiliterate expression of protest by some British "human shields."
It is perfectly possible that those two Iraqi guys liberated the sign from some British human shields and were taunting them with it. That's merely a supposition, but it is reasonable to suppose that pro-Saddam Iraqis are not likely to be demonstrating against the US in the streets of Baghdad today.
