Isn't it great? Best money I've spent in years. I do need to get the TIVO though. Thanks for the reminder.

CBS Bagcam is horrible. I am using NTV and am getting a much clearer picture.

I know a lot of people don't like Greta, but I kind of do. She just replied to the French and Russians desire to be involved in reconstruction with a big so what, who cares what they want.

DIRECTV is much better than old CATV here. The NHL "On Ice" hockey package is da bomb as they say in Baghdad.
Does anybody have sound or did I blow my card?
To: najida
What did Christiane say? I don't know about recently, but at about 1 PM CDT today I heard her say that she knows a lot of journalists that have more war zone experience than the pentagon spokespeople.

Haven't had sound all day.

I have sound, but not from Baghdad.

Hit the newsgroups to read up on current ISP over SAT. I want it but they throttle you down if you download a lot of data which I do.

DirecTV used to be in the DSL market, but they got out of it a few months ago. They have a satellite internet system, but its not nearly as fast as cable or dsl, and the ping time is very high, so don't think about playing graphic-intensive online games with it.

(My dad, a WW2 vet, always said "America's best and most loyal ally is..Britain". He was right.)

The only option I have of anything faster than a 56k is using both of my phone lines and a "shotgun modem" to double the speed, no DSL out here way out away from any town, could get the Starband from Dish but its around $100 a month, I hear its 10 times faster than DSL, not good for gaming cause of the uplink delay, its a pure satellite feed.
In retrospect I wish I had it two weeks ago, its on my buy list right now.

Hey, where's all the traffic? LOL
