Sewage processing plants don't run on home generators. Neither do most heavy water pumps. A refigerator will, and a few other light appliances. From what my wife says, most middle-easterners are not too inconvenienced by lack of sewage. She lived in Cairo for two years, said the whole country smelled of raw sewage, it ran in the gutters.

." Do we really need higher-ups in the CIA to tell us that Saddam Hussein's son-in-law doesn't have the same DNA?Katherine Jean Lopez responded, tongue firmly planted in cheek: "Jonah, Mansoor Ijaz contends we have a much better source of Saddam DNA. A recent Saddam mistress." LOL!

I guess it depends upon how in-bred the family is.

Maybe she smuggled out DNA in her, uh, luggage.

The interview is being redone. He just added another person to the rubble after speaking to his handler.

On MSNBC they were interviewing someone who said there were civilian casualties from the Saddam bomb last night including a 6 year old. From your post it sounds like the child died from going into the damage. Can you clarify?

He said he saw two bodies and a 6 year-old was pulled from the rubble. In the 2nd report, I think he added another child after speaking to his handler.

Dusk is falling on Baghdad once again. I am curious as to why we are doing most of our ground engagements only during the day. I would think that the Iraqi irregulars are pretty much shell shocked right now, and getting set in a pattern of grabbing sleep in shifts at night.
Time for us to wake them up.
