I think so. I think he'd be a good chaplain in a military situation.

... "Pray for the strength of Islam, pray for the strength of the United States."...that's how I heard it too - going to make it hard for those who keep insisting that our involvement in Iraq will result in millions more enemies for the US......

Not the point. The point is whether Muslims in Kosovo had a favorable view of the west, especially the U.S., and that has pretty much been confirmed.
Hey, I for a minute don't consider Kosovo a "successful" operation. But sometimes even our failures have long term positive impacts.

We can debate percentages, but I can guarantee you it's closer to mine than yours. I have a number of Arab/Pakistani students who enthusiastically take our classes and benefit from our education but who are very hostile---then I have a few who are quite fond of the U.S.
But there are some reports of Arab Muslims who have lived in the U.S. for years and are totally hostile to this country.

The positive impact Kosovo is going to have is going to be having the stinking UN and the so-called "world community" over here demanding that we hand parts if not all of Texas, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, and California all over to Mexico on the same perverted basis of ethnicity being everything and ownership and sovereignty being nothing. There might still be time to give Kosovo back to its rightful owners before that happens. The precedent of Kosovo cannot be allowed to stand.

Probably not 95% of the Moslems, but 95% of Arabs is plausible.
It will be a long road to making Islam a religion of peace, but the job isn't done until that is accomplished.
Every journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.

But there are some reports of Arab Muslims who have lived in the U.S. for years and are totally hostile to this country. You are correct: It is the educated haters that are most dangerous. We must treat them like we treated immigrant Communists and Nazis - OUT WITH THEM! Some guy in the desert who is a clear and present danger to a couple of goats - who cares?
We can't do this by half measures. We must treat our Moslem firends well, and those that hate us get the back of our hand.

But there are some reports of Arab Muslims who have lived in the U.S. for years and are totally hostile to this country. Heck, there are liberals who were born here who are totally hostile to this country.

There are lots of Muslim young adults in Iran who like the US, too. They make up a big part of the country. The president is much more moderate than the Ayatollah.

Good distinction. I think that may be right, although Indonesia's Muslims are no friends.

I think you need to leave Kosovo out of your little paradigm. Kosovo rightly belongs to Serbia and will ultimately be occupied by Serbs again.
Seems I've heard that about Croatia, Slovenia, Bosnia, and Macedonia as well.

Don't we all. I know I have had on more than one occasion. Sometimes, I just tune them out and start praying the rosary or something else in my head. God Bless
