Silly question... who is Tina Brown? Boy I'd like to slap some sense into her.

Christina Hambley Brown graduated from St. Anne's College, Oxford University, in 1974. After working as a reporter for several publications, she was named editor of the
Tatler magazine at the age of 25. Brown rejuvenated the publication, vastly increasing circulation. In 1984, she became editor of the American monthly magazine
Vanity Fair. During her eight years as editor, Brown pioneered celebrity journalism and became one of the most visible magazine editors in the country. In 1992, Brown was asked to revive the flagging fortunes of the venerable literary magazine,
The New Yorker. Brown introduced photography and used shorter articles, increasing circulation. The magazine still lost money. In 1999 Brown launched
Talk magazine. She and her husband, Harold Evans, editorial director at
U.S. News & World Report, have two children.
She's a FOB, and has been fired from every job she's every had because she's a raving bitch.

Tina Brown is a vile little Brit tart who was one of the worst Clinton sycophants during the impeachment wars. She pals around with Jane Mayer, who was an open tool of the Clintons (the Linda Tripp hitpiece).

There is something about George Bush that drives these people insane.
As I said on another thread, it is sort of like the reaction of a vampire when a crucifix is waved in front of him.
They are destructing left and right, making assinine comments, hurling invective, and generally revealing themselves for what they really are. It is quite amazing.
To: NewYorker
"Tina Brown's comments say more about her and her worldview than they do about the President."True...
I'm enjoying all the Leftist media dumb enough to "out" themselves at a time when it'd be much simpler to at least feign pseudo-patriotism.
Many of us ARE taking notes, hehehe...

this from Tina Broan: a dense, angry, taciturn, WET drunk, second-rate writer. maybe third-rate. Even worse as an editor. She ruined the New Yorker.
What does she think is so wrong, by the way, about being a dry drunk? I thought these people prided themselves on being nonjudgmental.

there's nothing a drunk hates more than a recovering alcoholic.

(no camle jokes, please...OK, maybe one little one)

You're right, she absolutely ruined the New Yorker. Upon her arrival, every discussion of noted authors turned into a tell-all about how he or she really was homosexual, evidence notwithstanding. It became rather tiresome.

All I know is that any woman over the age of 22 who calls herself "Tina" can't be taken seriously.
To: vastrightwc
These people are starting to show how nuts they are. Tina Brown has been this way for a long time. She said she couldn't blame women for wanting to give Bill "the full Monica".
To: try phecta tom
.....just what was the name of her magazine???
does anyone remember?
No? Why?
Because no one ever bothered to read it.
It sucked, just like she does--that is why clinton likes her

Many thanks for the link to the original Tina.
. Or, as they say in the army: Shove him my regards.
Her one really good line, which I return in kind. Shove it, Tina.

Isn't Tina a natural to ghost Hiterly's book? She can even make appearances as a double -- they undoubtedly wear the same size ugly black pantsuit and have no sense of or regard for the way they smell.

"When did Tina Brown stop writing about dresses and waif super models?"Actually, she's gone back to it (see Times of London). Between that and gushy televised interviews about how wonderful the Clintons are and how rightwing the American mass media are, it's about all she does. Can't blame her for playing it safe. The New Yorker had to can her in 1998 and then her Talk Mag sank on its maiden voyage just last year.
She claimed in one of her recent columns to read only day old papers because "the ink is dry."
To: Howlin
Guess she's not quite as important as she thinks then. Kind of like the hollyweirdos.
Thanks for the Bio.
