I think we are letting him still be on the air.

I think so too- for comic relief. I am waiting for a marine to sneak behind him while he is shouting "there are no U.S. forces in Baghdad" and say "can you hear me now?"

"Baghdad Bob" or "Sponge Bob"---who rules more? I'm partial the BB. SNL will give him a spot for sure.

The Iraqi press conferences rival some of SNL's best skits, I'm surprised the reporters can keep from laughing!

You can hear this sadly confused man on Jim Quinn's radio show
here. Select the Friday April 4th show and move the time slide to about 8 minutes 30 seconds. The segment is about 2 minutes long.

I think he knows the press is on to him. Furthermore, when he was just on MSNBC he seemed to be trying desperately to hold back a smile.
My impression is that he is the only living official in Baghdad still in office. He probably hasn't left town yet because it's unlikely he is guilty of any war crimes (unless hyperbole can be considered criminal).

Felony disinformation? Hmmm
Comedy propaganda? No?
Ah: misdemenanor denial (which, of course, is not just a river in Egypt anymore..)

His last broadcast, early this morning, was from the outside terrace of the Palestine Hotel. Somebody asked him why he wasn't in his usual place and he said they were "cleaning" it.
