Buster the springer spaniel found AK47 rifles, 160 rounds of ammunition, a pistol, grenades, loose bullets and bomb-making equipment hidden in a wall.

The tip of the iceberg... We're going to hear LOTS of these stories about "buried weapons" from civilians before all this is over, and after. And don't forget the "buried murder victims." I'm looking forward to witnessing the crow that's going to be eaten on the left.Ha! They aren't even burying them, they are leaving them in warehouses in Basra for us to easily find.
I would buy stock in condiment companies if I were you, it's going to take a lot of ketchup and mustard to cover up the taste of that much crow.

They're going to treat this war like yesterday's news. Now you're all safe again, let's get back on the gravy train. We know that's how they're going to run. Can see it miles and miles away. Remember how strong Bush41 looked in 1991? Rove's plan to hold the center while he craps on conservatives is very flaky. With his infatuation with open borders and destruction of the Western rural/agricultural base via regulatory landgrabs, he is abetting an eventual demographic meltdown for the GOP. The long term outlook for a conservative GOP concerns me.

If we found some, they'll have very little left (Left) to say. Surely you are kidding. The left with nothing to say?
Here are some lines of leftist attack that are just too predictable:
1. Were all of the Iraqi military deaths necessary? How could we be so cruel? Ditto the civilians and especially the children.
2. What do you mean the arrogant U.S. and not the trustworthy and competent U.N. will be in charge of the restructuring of Iraq?
3. This administration has destroyed all of the good work of nearly a century in building alliances and friendships with foreign governments. And we are making it worse by excluding them (and the UN) from meaningful participation in rebuilding Iraq.
4. Stealing a line from Jack Nicolson: "Democracy? The Iraqi's can handle democracy".
5. From the more radical leftist elements (SF hippy types) we will hear that all that video and all those reports about the Iraqi people welcoming the U.S. are fabrication of the controlled media.
I could go on but you get the idea.

Finally, Army chemical weapons detection teams have been called to a field outside of Aziziyah to follow up on tips by villagers that barrels were secretly buried and then covered with concrete and dirt. Don't be surprised to learn that this is disinformation disseminated by the Baathist party. If they can create enough effort to find hidden WMD that are burried under parking lots, etc. and they come up empty, then when the real tips start coming in they won't be believed. That was of great interest to me because it is not a warhead, it is a spray cannister, like the ones used under choppers that srayed the Kurdish villagers of Halabja!

Well said! Who cares what the leftist morons think or say. Our success in this war will help bring about the only thing I really care about in this debate....DEFEATING THE LEFT!! Most of them will never be convinced of their erroneous idelogy, but political defeat will leave them irrelevant.

Immigration and too much federal land are hot issues with voters right now.

Victoria Clark deserves a medal! Geraldo Rivera deserves a 'meddle'. 'sinator' Kerry deserves a stiff smack. Peter Arnett deserves a prison cell. And ... Saddam deserves a rope.

First of all, I'm convinced we will find WMD and lots of them once we achieve our military objectives and can turn our attention to finding them. But even if we don't find any WMD, enough information has already come out about the brutality of Saddam's regime that anybody questioning our removal of it is going to look like a real ass. Let these jerks tell the newly liberated people of Iraq - the victims of this regime - that this was a bad thing to do.

Yessir. Immigration and too much federal land are hot issues with voters right now. They are with rural voters in the West, the key to holding the Senate.
I repeat: Remember what everybody was saying about GHWB's invincibility in 1991? IIRC, his approval rating after Gulf WarI was over 90%.
You do remember who was elected in 1992, don't you?
Relying upon the middle to win elections, while allowing the base to go begging, is a very risky thing to do.

Juan Williams and other fellow-travelers started this "planting evidence" stuff long before the war even began.
There's one type of evidence, however, that they did not anticipate - that's the warehouses full of body parts in bags as well as the collections of skulls with bullet holes in the back.
The meat hooks are a nice touch too!.
Any leftist or other fellow-traveler who brings up the "planting evidence" canard can be dealt with handily by referencing the body part warehouses and noting that the left is just trying to whitewash Saddam's crimes against humanity and his genocide.
If you want to get really nasty just tell them "You enjoy that stuff don't you?"
