So, who invited the Russians to the reconstruction party?

So the Iraqi exiles think Hussein is alive? I wonder what they know that we don't? Nothing, I'd warrant.

"So, who invited the Russians to the reconstruction party?"

It's an ongoing item in numerous threads here on FR.

Ruskies are up to something, nobody knows quite sure what it is.

Some conjecture they are getting nervous about what weapons may be found sent from Russia to Iraq.

Some say Russia is trying to put in a strong bid on reconstruction projects and is afraid they will lose out on promised contracts and past loans to Iraq in the billion$.

Ivan is on the move again.

Terrible thing about those executed Iraqi brass, eh?

The Moscow-based Nezavisimaya Gazeta newspaper said Russia was preparing the groundwork for intervention in the Gulf, particularly in Iraq. The newspaper said this could include the occupation of the Iraqi port of Umm Qasr.

Kinda late for that.

But they are welcome to try, do you feel lucky hooliganski?

IMHO, Saddam is graveyard dead.

The remnants holding onto power have only two options:

#1: Hold onto power through terror and coersion until the last dying breath.

#2: Surrender to coalition forces and be tried for crimes against humanity and hanged by their peers.

Whoa - that prophecy just hit me.

It's before our eyes all right - the whole world is watching it thanks to the modern miracle of satellite television.

Ruskies are up to something, nobody knows quite sure what it is.

Boris Yeltsin's been wandering around, looking for his car keys since his 1998 bender when celebrating Uday's 100,000th career rape.

I think Bush will continue to try to peal Putin off. If Bush can draw Putin away from the destructive Franco-German axis, even if Russia remains a problematic ally, at least Russia would not be strengthening the frogs.

Russia: "wait wait, now we're ready to join the coalition and fight for Iraqi liberation." Pay no attention to the contracts behind the curtain.

If Russia tries to pull what the NG newspaper claims, all they'll do is step on their d*cks. The best better go back and get United Nations approval. It appears that Russia is bent on rendering itself irrelevant. Self-exposure rendering politicians, bureaucrats, councils and organizations irrelevant seems to be contagious theses days.

Option 3: Kill Iraqi civilians in the thousands until the Arab world revolts against their governments, causing the coalition to halt the final seige and negotiate a Pan-Arab/U.N. settlement. Mass Murder, the U.N. and Arab revolt is all they have left to save their skins.

Won't work. President Bush and our military are going to finish this mission. We owe it to 74 heroes.

They all have the same rot in their midst: Millions of recently arrived, undocumented and unassimilated Muslim immigrants. Europeans are frightened silly of the menace around them. They are gutless to address it, however.

Ergo: "We hate the Americans and Jews too! See, we're with you guys. Don't kill us, please! Kill them! We'll help anyway we can. You like us, right? Right? OK, I'll take that scowl as a "yes". So you are killing them, correct?"

You must'a just seen Eleanor on FOX. The Marxists sure are looking rough with all their demogogery(sp?) flying back in their faces, aren't they? Prseident Bush is making fools out of 'em every time they open their mouths.

Kinda like the portrait of Dorian Gray in reverse, ain't it?
