Right now, all you can hear is a generator running, Ahmed and Norm sound like they are having a cold one and you can hear an occassional car honk. BUT NO WIND!

Actually I couldn't understand the German. They seemed to be running a story about American atrocities.

Snood is great. Go to Addictinggames.com and try diamond mine. It's free and it's very addicting.
I'm back and I have my first cup of coffee made with my new "Freedom coffee press" It was made in Switzerland, not France.
You guys have been busy. We may see post 5K tonight.

But they have to accept some return fire PLUS air responses that will destroy them. Yes, we musn't overlook a few minor details, lo.

Someone, late last night, mentioned that they thought it was about 6. This is second hand info though.

I had my first cup of Starbuck's coffee last Saturday in Auburn, Ma. It was OK but nothing special. The dark roast at Krispy Kreme is better. I guess all of the sweet stuff is what Starbucks is about.
We don't have Starbucks in my area. Dunkin' Donuts is about it. Actually, a small chain of parking lot kiosks has opened recently. It's called Aroma Joe's. It isn't bad.

Lt. Gen. Michael Mosely , Air Commander re. the RG around Baghdad:
"We're not softening 'em up, we're killing 'em."Tried to find my Ollie post, but what the heck...rerun:
FN: Ollie North w/ 3rd Infantry in Baghdad: "It has been a difficult 24 hours for the 5th Marines... in Baghdad suburbs...Iraqi general, now believed to be the chief of staff of SRG (Spec. Repub. Guard)..killed....smoke from oil refinery ...detonated by Saddam's regime this morning, destroying an enormous resource...we have medivac(k)ed 17 Marines in last 24 hours...light helicopt. squad 267 flew some remarkable missions..took several holes in helic...rergimental commander pulled his Humvee up and fired on attackers...was able to make it back to the medical center...Most of the folks seem to be glad to see us. It has been tough..but this is the 5th Marines..they know their legacy and they're ready"..
"Rick is with 3rd LAR, there's also the 1st LAR (who) fired at the general's car....killed the general, his driver and his dog"..."Civil Affairs folks put out the (warrant) that his body was here)...thought at first to be general head of Al Nida (RG div)..
"About 70 RG units were taken out of here on flatbed truck and taken to (our facility), but most of the men have decided to go home...They really don't want to fight...My sense is that most of the Iraqi people are glad that (Saddam Hussein's) on his way out."

was that a bomb? didn't sound like it, but now all the car alarms are going
I'm thinking that shot was one of our SpecOps guys sniping on a high value target. ;-)
I just didn't know our SpecOps guys were on THIS ROOF.

scary people out there..Trekkies
Our family has one.
One of my wife's sisters was a half an hour late to our wedding years ago (where she had a role in the ceremony ;-) ) because she had to watch the end of a rerun of a Star Trek episode she had seen at least a dozen times.
My wife was really ticked when she heard the story.
I couldn't stop laughing.
