I was reading an interesting article this AM titled "France seeks slice of postwar pie."
France refused to fight the war so should not profit from peace. But stopping France Inc. from sharing in the postwar spoils may prove harder than it sounds.
Bagdad's water system and much of Iraq'a now bomb-blasted phone networkwork built by French companies. Before the war, France was Iraq's biggest suppliers of essential goods.
Also for each of the past five years, the French stand at B-dad's annual trade fair won the gold medal as best Western display.
No wonder the French,Germans, and Russia are wanting the UN to take the lead in rebuilding Iraq. Now that they see that the outcome is inevidable, they are afraid that if the US and Brits take the leading role in the rebuilding process, they stand to loose billions in lost business opportunities.
Good that the House of Reps voted to ban US dollars from going to French, German, Syrian or Russian companies for Iraq's rebuilding.

Thank you,,it made me cry thinking of her with her sheet over her head,,these guys who got her out are the best, the very best,,some parents ought to pop with pride.

"But my guess is she has been thru a hell that only a POW can understand."
Yes...I believe that holding on to the idea of those brave soldiers returning for her will help tremendously. I hope that all of our troops know that we keep them all in our thoughts and prayers. God bless them everyone...

The Democrats, though a minority, seem to be in power with their control over the neutered Republican majority.I hope they feel real good about that after the 2004 elections.

Baghdad Bob and the Information Ministers
I picture it this way. The band will be a heavy metal/punk type band. The band will open each song with a whole lot of loud, fast power chords. Then they stop momentarily. Baghdad Bob utters something in Arabic... The band continues for a minute or two and the whole process repeats.
Sort of like Timmy on South Park or maybe like Lurch on the Addams Family show where he became a rock star.

Isn't the Post one of the papers we are not supposed to post full article, only excerpts and links?

""The Democrats, though a minority, seem to be in power with their control over the neutered Republican majority.""
What can Frist do, besides holding cloture votes 3 times a day? I would be all for a 24/7 bladder buster filibuster, but apparently Senate rules are changed. I don't know exactly what the best way to ram the nomination through would be.

I visited the other place (du) this morning and found them wanting to believe the Iraqi info minister and somewhat happy the Kelly died. Real compasionate liberals. They prove over and over again they don't give a rip about peace they are simply anti-American.

I am REALLY anxious to hear what the Dims have to say in response to THIS !!!Here is where they are going. Diane Feinstein spelled out the talking points the other night on Larry King.
1. Ignore any responsibility for claims of quagmire, and further hope that the reporters will not even mention it. In most cases, they won't. Yesterday's news, and they want to protect their liberal friends.
2. Spread the lie that Bush has "fences to mend" in Europe, which is the exact opposite of the truth. The liberals are already peddling this lie.

I just realized. We need to be kindhearted and sympathetic this morning.
Just think, waking up to all this news.
It must really suck being a liberal leftist this morning.
