Peter was glum because he made a bad bet. He bet against the US Armed Forces and bet on a bunch of old freaks from the sixites and some young stupid losers. This war set up a major media war and ABC is losing big time. Americans are now clearly seeing the bias of the media and it will have a major effect on where people will turn for their news. Still the major networks still don't see it.

I suspect that folks that have the position of "farmer" in a fertile area were able get those positions...as opposed to living in harsh arid areas because they tend to support the baathist.

And it isn't just Jennings, it's ABC News period. You should have heard their anti-war, anti-American slam during their five minute radio broadcast at 5:00pm PST (8:00pm EST): "Iraqi citizens don't want to be liberated by America...blah, blah, blah."

Not much different from the usual anti-gun drivel that we are subjected to all the time on ABC Radio.

I remember when the former governor of Arkansas was illegally occupying the White House, one of the ABC radio news stories said that for people who had such and such a problem, "It's President Clinton to the rescue!" Yes, that is an accurate quote.

I remember that! I have been listening to their slanted stories for years. A typical news story goes something like this:

"And in other news, a man with a gun entered an office today in downtown Succotash killing one and wounding two. And a recent ABC poll shows that sixty percent of all Americans want restrictions on guns. This is ABC News [break for commercial].
