This is stupid. I don't care what she's wearing. I care about her competency and she seems to handle her job quite well. You and me both.
As I said on another thread - I showed up at a meeting last night wearing cordorouys, a plaid shirt, a sweater, and cowboy boots. I was taken just as seriously as I was when I met with the same group last week wearing a suit and heels.

She's excellent at her job - but her suits are straight out of an episode of Dallas in the 1980's. The lady has no sense of fashion - that is a pure and simple fact. But she does her job well, which is all that counts. :-)

I have to admit when I first saw her, I thought she was related to Secretary Rumsfeld in such way - the same sort of toughness seems to be in both of them.

Does anyone care what a male spokesman wears? I think not. Well ... actually, I do remember that Ronald Reagan had a jacket that was a green color with a patterned weave. The press hated it because it went kind of wavy on camera. So, they told the press secretary about it. I believe Reagan responded that he liked the jacket, and that was it --- he kept on wearing it.
A better question might be: Does anyone in the press question the jackets of Democrats when they are in power. Did any press person ever mention the ever-present, could stand on it's own, black pantsuit of HRC?
To: Miss Marple
Okay, Miss Marple, that jacket I missed; but whoah (!), doesn't she have any friends to go shopping with who will be honest enought to tell her --- absolutely not.
