French think that CNN reports from an American perspective. Don't they realize that it ain't called "Communist Network News" for nothing?

The Irony that Chirac does not like what CNN is reporting is just rich.
To: MEG33
"Rival" to CNN? Leave it to the French to want to challenge the team in last place.

i believe this is the beginning of the quick end to the European Union. How do you think other countries are feeling about " French tantrum " Leadership. Do those samller countries believe they will be treated fairly?

I'm probably way off base here, but Chirac is starting to sound like a dictator. How long has this guy been in power?
France is a socialist country, oui?

Well, we should all contribute to that by reducing the teaching of French here in the US. All French instruction should be halted as of the end of this school year and students given a choice of Spanish or Italian (also Romance languages) instead. We should also throughout the world subsidized and encourage the teaching of English as the froggies encouage French. I won't be happy until there are no more speakers of French than there are of Esperanto.

Typical socialist thinking; just set up a government news network, and you'll compete with the other networks. He has no idea of how the free market works. Also; he's worried about coming up with 100 million euros? Our congress wipes it butt with that much, ten times before lunch. Before starting real spending. Hah! What a joke!

The French have much in common with the Democratic Party these days...
Let them spend their money throwing it down the toilet. The more bankrupt the better.
