Michael Moore's newest film to be produced by Mel Gibson

OK, time for a ridiculous conspiracy theory here tha will surely make me look ridiculous if/when it's proven wrong (those are always the most fun).

Moore deliberately peddled this false rumor specifically to get Mel to publicly denounce him. Moore will then cry about the "censorship" in Hollywood, about how he's this great filmmaker who's won all sorts of awards but simply cannot get any films made due to the evil capitalist system and conservatives who run this country, and Bush stole the election, and Ronald Reagan kills babies, yada yada yada.

From this, he'll get a free soapbox to continue his BS, and will also get the ear of sympathetic limousine liberals who actually buy into his garbage, and will get the funding he needs to make this.

So there you go. Fire away.

Why do you think it's not true?

Hello eaglebeak.   Putting aside a "gut feeling", I'd cite two key reasons for my cynicism:

• judgement of the character of each of the two public, primary parties involved in this "deal", and
• the gaping holes and contradictions in the numerous articles (one source mind you: Vanity) that I have taken time to read, and attempted to relay in the above posts, 34 and 116.

You will be transfixed by his garbage- re: Oscars, Rachel Corrie, links to all the anti-war sites, he "takes on the Bush administration for manipulating the public with fear so it can conduct its acts of aggression against the Third World", buy my book buy my book buy my book pre-order the Columbine DVD, -- but nothing about the movie deal with ICON.

The Bush - bin Laden ties that Moore will explore include George Bush Sr.'s business dealings with Mohammed bin Laden, the Saudi construction magnate who left $300 million to his son, Osama and the connection between the Bush Sr. led CIA and the forces in Afghanistan that fought the Soviet Union in the late 70s and early 80s.

GHW Bush was not CIA director when Afghanistan began. Stansfield Turner was.

Not only is Michael Moore a liar, he's also totally stupid.
