I care about our Troops but wish they weren't over there. The Bushs' have done "business" with Saddam in the past , I don't think he is any more evil today then he was then.

This war to me appears to be more about money and power (like most wars)then it does about freeing the Iraqi people from an evil regime.

If we were going to protect people from evil and wrong doing , we should have been in Africa long ago.

We as American's are losing Freedom's in the name of Freedom , think about it. You know very well Jeff that our government is using BS environment regulations to run American's off of their property. I won't go into the Ten Planks of Communism and our government , but to me it's obvious that our Freedom is in jeopardy. How can Bush say he is freeing the Iraqi people when he is stealing our's? Brown and Root a subsidiary of Cheney's Halliburton has already been given the contract for Iraq's reconstruction. Gee , that's surprising.

If we don't like what this jerk says ( and I don't ) we need to get control of our education systems and teach our children what America is supposed to be about. Instead of allowing political correctness and anything that offends some foreigner , atheist or homo , to strip us of our Heritage. This isn't meant personally Jeff , it's a general statement I know where You stand. I'm saying the accepted education standards need to protect American ideals.

When American's went to rebuild Kuwait they were NOT ALLOWED to take Bibles into the country. Why is it in America , American's can't stand up for their beliefs? Are we really a Free country?

And the "It's better than any other place in the world" is getting closer and closer to not being true anymore.

Peace is worth the price and the only One offering Peace is Jesus Christ :-)

Well put, Jeff. Freedom is not free. Free speech can be costly as well. I believe he is guilty of inciting murder and terrorism against our troops and against our country.

Jeff, you are way too civil and nice. This guy needs his butt beaten to a pulp, fired from his job and beaten to a pulp again. I am like you, filled with anger and outrage when I read this POS's statements but you are a much better man than I am.

Jeff,

Most of the time I keep my thoughts to myself. If I were to express myself openly, I would be banned in short order.

This is not one of those times.

I am deeply concerned. There are a vast number of Vets in this Country. A lot of them did thier time in RVN, and remember the welcome home they got. They see the very same road-kill stew simmering again in leftist circles. If the leftists dare to serve this stew as they did then, a large number of true Vets just might go to ground. Vets that never forgot thier training. That is a bloodbath that I do not wish to see.

I don't know how to get the left to understand that they are dancing with the depths of hell if they continue in thier stupidity.

This wasn't free speech, this man, a so called fellow countryman, wishes my fellow soldiers dead and is vocal about it. I believe one can have free speech but there is a line one crosses and should be accountable for it.

Do you come out and wish the people you work with dead? How would they react or do if you wished them what this POS wished for our troops? I am willing to bet if you made such inflammatory statements to your cohorts you would find your butt beat.

"Freedom means getting to say what you want. If people think he is a kook for saying these things, well that is for people to decide. I dont think he deserves to have his head bashed in for saying something many of us disagree with. "

The idiot's a coward and a collaborator. Do you think he would pass off those remarks so flamboyantly in front of a military academy graduation class or veteran's group without getting his a$$ kicked off the stage -- deservedly? Free speech means that you can freely say what you want to say. Doesn't mean that it is always consequence-free. Yes, words can provoke people to violence.

This guy is skirting the line. Here are some excerpts from Columbia’s Statement on Professional Ethics and Faculty Obligations and Guidelines for Review of Professional Misconduct:

Faculty Relationship:

“All members of the faculty share responsibility for the governance of the University and for the preservation of an atmosphere of scholarship and rational discourse.”

“When faculty members assume obligations outside the University, they should assess the amount and character of these obligations with due regard to their paramount responsibilities within the University.”

In others words, peddling hate at a teach-in, even one that is off-campus, reflects on Columbia, and he is entirely responsible for it.

What’s more, here’s a an excerpt from the Statement of Nondiscriminatory Policies:

“Currently, University policies protect against discrimination and harassment on the basis of race, color, gender, religion, national and ethnic origin, age, citizenship, disability, sexual orientation, and marital status.”

National origin. Citizenship. Statements about whites. Some could argue inciting this kind of an atmosphere towards white patriots and Americans constitutes 'harassment'.

It’s a soft case, I know, but I’m sure a real lawyer could dig up much more and threaten Columbia. All it takes is for a conservative student group on campus to file suit. If there’s anything Bollinger doesn’t want it’s a case against his university, even a weak one, over this nitwit of an assistant (adjunct? whatever) professor.

Any lawyers out there?

It is only a last vestige of respect for law that keeps me from hunting this professor sown and doing America a service by removing him from the gene pool.

I saw that. I was going to ask if he was DeGenova's assistant, a Democrat, a member of the DU, a two time Clinton supporter or a member of the media. The prevalent condecending attitude of trolls/democrats/troublemakers jumps out at you in the posts.
