Many of us sneered at the idea of lowly Belgium having the arrogance to oppose the US war in Iraq. This article gives a good idea of just where that arrogance is coming from and gives us a frighteningly clear view of where the left is headed with multi-culturalism in the US.

militant islam is a cancer, and its spreading.

Resection is in order. Perhaps radiotherapy.

It occurs to me that if a pipsqueak country with the serious internal problems Belgium has gets anywhere with its preposterous 'world court' malarkey, what's to stop countries such as, say Syria, Zimbabwe or Cuba from doing the same thing? Then we can have dueling world courts with roving police forces locking up world leaders and fomenting turf struggles against each other.
Those miserable PC Yurrupeons.
To: rageaholic
It is not just militant Islam, it is all types of multi-culturalism. Islam is just the latest tool of the left. The communist forces have given up fighting the Muslims and adopted them as a tool to undermine western capitalism and democracy.

Yes, I agree. Tolerance is highly overrated. At a certain point, intolerance becomes necessary.
To: Post Toasties
There will be no duel of world courts because the leftists have joined ranks with the ruthless dictators and fanatic theocrats of the world to oppose freedom, democracy and capitalism.

Questions:
Because of declining birthrates, Muslims could eventually gain a majority in some EU countries............
1) Can these countries opt out of a democratic form of government and institute Sharia Law by popular vote, much the same as Hitler was voted into power and then immediately got rid of all democratic institutions?
2) Once these countries accept Sharia Law and therefore inherit all the infrastructure of the former country, such as nuclear bombs and missles, can they then declare war on the US and target us?

When Shia law is declared, expect a revolution and a lot of dead islams.

Tolerance is not so much over-rated as it is over-stated. There is a big difference between tolerance and advocacy.

I presume that your questions were rhetorical.

This is a possibility that the US cannot ignore. After all, we already have North Korea with just a handful of nukes doing its utmost to try to blackmail the US into providing aid to its totalitarian regime.
IMO the US needs to implement a national NMD at the earliest possible opportunity.

I love your screen name, it makes me smile every time I read it.
The problem is that science (or politics, as the case may be) has not yet found a treatment for this cancer, short radical extermination of all diseased tissue.

Actually, Kemal Ataturk (an atheist) was able to largely solve that problem in Turkey, by requiring that Islamic religious services not be performed in Arabic and putting a rigidly secular Constitution in place.
I would also be in favor of making it an imprisonable offense to use any copy of the Quran or related materials for Islamic religious instruction that doesn't have all passages relating to persecution of non-Muslims deleted.
To: Post Toasties
This would be on the legal basis that such passages are not religious in nature, but are insurrectionary and amount to prosecutable hate speech.

This stuff is just my own musings and "What if............."-type of stuff. Apologies if it's kinda 'tinfoil' and paranoid of me.
HOWEVER............I mean, Hitler WAS voted in (if my memory serves me right) by a majority of the population in a coalition with the 'Old Order' and managed to capture a majority on the parliament. He immediately started on a course of taking apart the previous governmental structure through his Nazi-party majority and direct orders (something like OUR Presidential Orders) that established his dictatorship. Can this happen again there? Here?

Exactly! We need to remember that in the US it is not just the Muslims that are hidden inside the Trojan Horse of multi-culturalism. It is also, the "Native Americans", the Blacks and the Latino population. Lacking any real oppressed populations to push into revolution, the left has created their own dissatisfied hordes to rebel against America's supposed colonialism and imperialistic tendencies.

I was not demeaning your questions by calling them rhetorical, I was implying that the affirmative answer goes without saying.

But in recent years, many of the restriction on Islam in Turkey seem to be over-ridden. But I like the idea of deleting militant segments of the Koran as being supportive of terrorism and hate.
