Well, thank you, but you contributed as much as I did...perhaps more!
It has been my opinion for some time that Clinton likes to plant these little time bombs and then heads home to Chappaqua and giggles to himself. He is a true clymer.
I am totally convinced that he called Jacques Chirac and engineered this mess with France and Germany, giving them "helpful advice."
I will leave no stone unturned in my efforts to discredit that horrible person.

Bill Clinton was one of the leading figures bragging that this war would be a cakewalk please have Hugh look at posts # 3018-3019 on this thread for the Clinton quote..

Good find, Timeout. From your link, and the week before is the Clinton quote I referenced earlier:
Senator Dole, if there is military action in Iraq, victory will probably come quickly, because were stronger and Iraq is weaker than in the 1991 Gulf War
To: Dog
Looks like we nailed a few of the cock roachs..Yes, I heard the report. Funny you use the phrase you did. The other day there was a mission to take out a number of the Dark Side and I told my husband it reminded me of a house getting bombed for cockroaches.
Very apt.
We've got 'em on the run, we're smokin' 'em out...

Just sent a few choice quotes from Clinton to Beltway@Foxnews.com.
Addressed my comments to Fred specifically; let's hope it gets through - I've had a few Fox e-mails come back, although several have gotten through.

I think Bill misses his days of protesting the Viet Nam War in Moscow when he was supposed to be a Rhodes Scholar.

It would be easy if we weren't concerned about civilians.

I'm watch O'Reilly right now. He has some frumpish profressor from Hofstra complaining about Hitlery and how she has been unavailble to the group. O'Reilly keeps telling her she should not be surprised at her being unavailable. She seemed genuinely surprised her Senator did not wish to speak to her.

You do have a point. Seriously. We could have been done after a few days if we didn't give a crap about collateral damage. Hiroshima, Dresden ring a bell?
That is the thing that pissed me off about the news critters. They really don't get that we are not doing all we can do to win, even conventionally.
I recall a story about how down south, we are actually not destroying some abandoned functioning Iraqi tanks because we want there to be at least some military capability left for the new government in case Iran gets frisky.
Patience is a virtue.
From NRO's
The Corner:
PRAYING FOR VICTORY [Rod Dreher]
Fr. Joseph Wilson of St. Luke's Parish in Whitestone, Queens, says he has been reading National Review since he was a small boy. Which might explain this example of courage, clear thinking, and action.
Fr. Wilson received the following message today from an official of the Brooklyn diocese:
Please include this in your Mass announcements this Sunday: "Everyone is invited to a Mass for the Restoration of Peace at Holy Trinity Church on Tuesday at 5PM. Father Latona, the Pastor, will be Celebrant."
Well, that did it. Fr. Wilson, who has just had it with pious peacenikery in this time of great peril, sent out the following fax to all the parishes that had received the first:
Faithful Sons and Daughters of the Church are invited to Saint Luke's Church on Monday evening, 7:15PM, for a Mass, Holy Hour and Benediction of the Most Blessed Sacrament, imploring the intercession of our Lady of Lepanto for the safety of our armed forces. The Holy Rosary, which once turned back those who would destroy Christian civilization, will be prayed before Mass.

Peacenik on O'Reilly says she won't vote for Hillary Clinton again.
This woman says Hillary has cast her lot with George Bush re: the war.......ugh! I hate thinking about HRC on the same side I'm on, even though I know it's just political convenience for her. I am in favor of her losing votes, however!
Bill stood up for Republican New Yorkers when this peacenik said most New Yorkers were against going to war.
To: POGIFFMOO
No, no, no. He didn't know they were protesting, he thought it was a rally that was pro-testing for grade school children. These mistakes are easy to make by those of us who don't know the multiple meanings of the word is.
To: LauraJean
I was stuck with Hillary in one of the Senate subway cars last summer, scariest 7 minutes of my life (besides my headlock from Jim Traficant). She is truly one of the most unpleasant people Ive ever been around, she spent the whole ride yelling at her secret service guys about something, kinda fun to eves drop on the matron of all evil.

If I am not mistaken, I have read on this forum recently that not only did Clinton say that, he said that the war would be MUCH easier because of all the "work" he did during his administration. Anybody remember that?
Yes! In fact, I mentioned it yesterday. But I haven't found the article. I think it was in a speech he gave.
I went searching this morning and found a speech on 3/13. I'm not sure if it's the same one, as I didn't find the statement that you reference.
So if it's a different speech, we have that one, the one I found, the editorial Miss Marple pointed out, written on Tony Blair's behalf, where he says it, and now Jay Nordlinger has a quote that I hadn't heard before.
He was as busy as a bee putting this notion out there.

You know, I'm still thinking this war will be over in a month.
Sure, the Fedayeen are harrassing our convoys. But everytime they do, they die. It's not a winning strategy.
And yeah, they hold the cities, but there are fewer of them every day.
I just can't see this dragging on.
Maybe in a month I'll be wrong, but I don't know how such a lopsided war can last long.

Journalist professor at NYU on O'Reilly now says there is no liberal news channel at present. Says FNC is too patriotic.

You folks are awesome! Great work researching and in getting the word to the reliable media so that the truth can come out about this cakewalk business.
