Secondly, show me where anybody on this thread is advocating the supression of free speech In fact, we're advocating more free speech. Free speech for the anti-American communist pro-Saddam protestors, and free speech for FNC (and ourselves) exposing the agenda of and source of support for the protestors. Free speech for all.
The Truth will make you free...

I liked watching the police drag them like trash bags and put them in the paddy wagon.

So, this isn't covered by free speech? Why, oh, why, are some of you saying that pointing out the true motivations of these yahoos is preventing their "free speech"?
Nobody has said they can't have their idiotic protests. We are praising Fox for reporting their funding and covering the behavior they engage in while protesting, and when they go beyond the bounds of "free speech" to impede traffic and come to blows with those on the street who disagree with them. Then they are rightfully carted off by the police, leaving their trash behind like the rats they are.

You know, that is interesting.
Cleveland had one of these pro-war rallies last week, and our leftist liberal rag outed that rally as Communist, as well.
I was shocked. They interviewed the President of the Communist party, and he spilled the beans about everything, and they had his picture in the paper to boot.
Then the local radio guy read the article for all those who boycotted the newspaper.
Funny, but Cleveland city and counsil decided to have a resolution to support the troops after it came out.

Unless they commit acts of sedition, and this is what they appear to be doing.

What 'opinion' is being expressed by laying in traffic? The "I'm so stupid someone told me to play in traffic, so here I am" opinion?
What makes me wretch about these people is they talk about how paying for the war is taking funds away from state and local government at the same time they are draining these resources with their stupidity.
To: TPartyType
I saw that too! This is the great value of Fox. It wasn't necessarily editorializing, and the lady could have been lib, mod, or conservative. They just
make mention of the FACTS the other "news" organizations don't seem to notice! You go, Fox!

For some reason I paused on "Today" and Katie! and the others were treating this lame "die-in" as one of the most important events in the last year
Thanks for that intel. I noticed from the overhead view on Fox (courtesy WABC) that the protest was right outside the Today show studio. I guessed this was their tactic when someone mentioned earlier that the protest would be at Rockefeller Center. I was afraid Today would be treating this as "a very special day on Today" and apparently my fears were not groundless. Disgusting.
I feel the need to correct two things I've heard on Fox about that brave young Sargeant, who's name I'm ashamed to admit, escapes me. First, Malina Bawa (who is very cute btw) said that he said he did not want to return to combat. What he really said was "you don't get shot and think 'gee, I'd like to go do that again", but he also said he felt like he got out easy and wished he was with his buddies. A class act from someone who is going to be on crutches for a long time.
The second thing was when ED asked him about the protesters, he didn't only give the standard line about fighting for their right to be ungrateful, he also said he tries not to think about it too much because he imagines it would irritate him pretty badly if he did. I thought all those soldiers were awesome. Simply outstanding. And guys that I am proud and grateful to have on our side.

In the last 24 hours I think the reality of what they are learning from the embedded reporters is revealing the character and nature of the Iraqi soldiers. Something to keep an eye out for. I pray you are correct.

What do you mean "on both sides"?
I don't see pro-America rallies being funded by our enemies. Please give details to prove it.
To: BibChr
I loved it when E.D. pointed out that the protestors were pro litter! E.D. is defintely not a lib or mod! She's straight from Texas, where they hang the criminals high.
To: chigung
Then protest Mao, Kim Il-Jong, and the governments that you are truly represented by.
Your protests have nothing to do with America.
To: GrandMoM
Call the hotels and ask if they carry Fox. If they don't, say, "Oh well, guess I won't be using your hotel!"
To: chigung
Fox News isn't considered "mainstream media"? Its owned by the same company that has put out such "quality programming" as "Married with children", "Celebrity Boxing", and "Who wants to marry a millionaire". Oh, and "Survivor" and "Fear Factor" are so wonderful?
Puleease...
I don't see people bring up how CBS and Sixty Minutes rigged a test to make a pick up truck appear to have a faulty fuel tank.
Or how the same wonderful bastion of professionalism hired a voice mimic to "interpret" for Saddam in his recent interview.
I agree that everyone has the right to protest, but when those protests are organized by groups that hate America and the values America stands for, we have the right to expose them.
