Well isn't that special. School districts can allow students to hold anti-American rallys on school time. Teachers can even opine to their classes on the [im]-morality of the Administration (and majority American) position on going to war, but pull the third person when it comes to sensitivity to those students with an opposing (majority) view: "We have to follow the curriculum." "Muslim Culture classes in the Byron, CA, school district had children identifying with Jihad, and reciting Muslim prayers!

"I'm a Christian," Poulin said. "How come we can't sit down and study why we worship what we do, but we can sit down and study what another country does?"

hmmm...maybe schools should start teaching Christian CULTURE. (That's how the schools got around the rules and are essentially teaching the Muslim religion.)

Excellent question.

""I'm a Christian," Poulin said. "How come we can't sit down and study why we worship what we do, but we can sit down and study what another country does?"

This was the quote which jumped out at me. What do you think the answer would be?

Answer:
Because I said so.

That is the classic response from the benevolent dictator (our DADS .. the first political structure ever learned ... ), which proves the state really believes it to be our father.

Poulin said one teacher tore up his first petition because he typed it in a computer laboratory at school.

Hmmm. Seems like he's learning a lot about Muslim Culture already.. What else is there?

My question why the hostility .. tearing up the petition?

But still Maine gives each 7th and 8th grader their own Apple laptops ..to use in school and at home.

Looking for logic here.

The Oklahoma City bombing was carried out by Tim McVeigh, an atheist, if I am correct.

The good thing about this situation is this kid will probably think twice about where he sends any of his future children to school.

Why can't they argue that this is against the supposed separation of church (mosque) and state?

In Computer Lab he should be studying computers, not drafting personal petitions.

I dunno, man. I mean, like, sometimes it really takes a lot of practice to center those signature lines just right! Ergo, the numerous pages. And you certainly wouldn't want the student to WASTE that paper, would ya?

Point taken, by the way.

When Muslim kids in that school, and yes there are probably some, have to sit down in class and learn about Christian and Jewish culture, then they can make the Christian kids sit down and learn about Islam.

Until sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander, keep that crap out of the schools.

Let's see...

My point is...I was a student in Houston.

George W. Bush was a high school student (albeit briefly) in Houston (Kincaid).

It was a state law that everybody study Texas History. I can't think of a better History to study than that of the Great State of Texas.

On weekends and holidays, my father would drive us to various Texas monuments and historical locations. We would travel and discuss and learn.

Doing all these things, I was able to learn and appreciate how great our nation is.

Growing up in Houston in the Sixties was quite an experience. Stunning, to see what people can accomplish! I believe George W. Bush was inspired by it too.

It's where I decided that I was of a "conservative mind".

Students these days are denied the fine educations of the past and it saddens me miserably. Nest Paw?
