Thanks for the "Behind The Music" info. Lloyd Maines has produced several of my favorite CDs.

"Thanks for the "Behind The Music" info. Lloyd Maines has produced several of my favorite CDs."
Thanks. It's good to hear that. Initially I went to the Dixie Chicks' website to voice my complaint about Ms. Maines Pasdar's ludricous comments in front of a cheering London audience.
Then I decided to take a further look into their history and spent the next 3-4 days reading, researching and taking notes.

(Thanks, Dixie Chicks for accusing me of being a Freeper. I'd never heard of FR until their website.)

I've noticed the rather shockingly different treatment that the Chicks are getting, too. It's amazing, but I'm happy about it. It's about time some of the celebrity appeasers got a dose of Main Street opinion. Personally, I think the reason that they are the target, rather than Sarandon, Penn, etc., is that their base is primarily Southern Country-Western culture, and that particular culture does not like feeling stabbed in the back. On top of that, Texas is as state-proud as you'll ever find. Having the current president from their state is a huge source of pride, and Ms. Maines told them they should be ashamed of themselves instead. Texans just don't
do shame. ;^)
They do, however, hand out well-deserved scorn as well as anyone.

Seeing your profile page reminded me:
Man I could use some beach/tropics time myself....we had a real winter in Nashville this year.
Regards!
