Misrepresenting your place of employment is NOT a minor error.

Dominos was wrong.

Domino's had every right to fire him.

Sadly, I agree. As a former customer of Dominos (their product is pure caca these days and I wouldn't eat it on a bet), I would have been offended beyond belief to have the pizza guy waving his finger in my face over an opinion of mine, whatever it might be.

Hope the guy soon finds a better job than delivering pies.

who has never expressed a personal opinion at work?

Do you harangue your customers for not agreeing with you?

So, you wouldn't discuss this issue with the employee? Look at his past record, suggest he write an apology to the person he walked up to? Evaluate the entire episode? You'd just fire him and move on? Interesting management style you have.

Yeah, they had the right to fire him. But having the right to do something does not make it right to do. Dominos either acted cowardly or against patriotism.

Okay, how's this: they had every reason to fire him.

If an employee of mine causes me to have to make a statement to a news story due to his rudeness, you bet your ass I'd fire him.

Now, if a 50-something man knocked on my door and lectured my 17 year old daughter - you bet I would call the police.
He is lucky they didn't file charges.

The last time I looked, I pay for my h ome, and the taxes on it - no one, no one has the right to come to the door and harrass a 17 year old girl.

It is amazing the things that have been excused - driving a truck upon a sidewalk, punching someone, now a grown man harrassing a teenage girl? Come on.
The man is lucky this girl didn't have my husband for a father - he would be out of more than a job.
