he said that the inspectors will go back once the events on the ground are finished and that he wants to resume the oil-for-food program. What is the purpose of that? When they Iraqi people are liberated they will able to participate in the Oil for $$$ program. Then they can BUY whatever they want further helping the world economy.
To: Lauratealeaf
You could say that and be accurate.
Guess the UN's going to try to keep the sanctions on until the Ba'athists (or another group fully-committed to destroying Israel) is in full control of Iraq.

Yes, the guy is really out of it. He sees 15 to 20 if the press ever grabs onto his money scandels.
To: retrokitten
Which countries actually buy the oil for this "oil for food" program?
To: Ragtime Cowgirl
I myself, would not want to waste my time with Kofi or the UN.

All of these type -Annan, Chiraq, Schoeder - are coming apart. The are positively loony. IT fills me with spasms of glee. It is just starting to dawn on them that Bush has just pushed an epoch-changing world order on them. The only ones that get it are the Russianhs and the Chinese, and that is just why they are so pissed. We were not supposed to figure this out yet.
Misunderestimated again.
To: seamole
Oh, I see. Well, just another excuse to leave the UN and form our own organization, which will trade with whomever we wish.

Which countries actually buy the oil for this "oil for food" program?Good question that I don't know the answer to. I'm gonna check that out and see what I find.
To: retrokitten
That's what he said, the guy looked really out of it. I think he went over the edge last week.
To: Dog
they probably assumed that they should fight more like the afghans did against the soviets - irregulars instead of soldiers. What they forgot is we beat afghanistan.
To: this_ol_patriot
I would like to see the UN demoted to the importance of the West Keokuk Rotary Club, at which point Clinton is welcome to be Secretary General.
To: seamole
Why am I NOT surprised by that?
To: retrokitten
Oil for Food = $$$$ in U.N. hands.
That's why Kofi wants to keep it.

Mr Coffee Anus,
Your ingnorance is only superceded by your irrelevance.
Perhaps you could go into the entertaiment business, start a band with Hans is Blixed, Scotty the Critter, Chirac Cousteau, Jimma Cartier and Billy Clintoon - called:
The IRRELEVANTS
