What is not widely reported is that this Marines Son said that he was proud his dad died serving his country. You won't hear much of that sound bite though.

I read that he is a Black Muslim.

There was another father of a dead Marine on with Aaron Brown last night. He asked the protesters to stop and to get behind Bush.

Yes the father was very upset on that interview, he had just found out that his only son was killed. I will blame the media as not giving this father the respect that he deserved in order to come to term with the information he more than like was just handed minutes before. Are they showing the follow up interview frome yesterday with him and the whole family? I will not flame the father but ask those here to think of how they would react to something such as this while having these media types trying to scoop each other.

This son is obviously twice the man the father is. The son wouldn't have deserved to be called a Marine if he was unwilling to die to fulfill a mission. That's the sacrifice every Marine has to be willing to make. And I suspect this young man went to his reward with the knowledge that he had done the Corps proud.
His whining father soils his son's memory.

This was a greiving father just after being told his only son was killed. I have nothing but sympathy for him and thanks for the sacrifice his son made in my defense. I also saw a clip of the same man later that expressed support for our effort and our president. Shame on anybody who does not understand that this man was exploited by the media for it's own agenda. If your son was killed how would you react in the first hours of your grief?

Why isn't he blaming Saddam for being such a son of an SOB? Last time I checked, he is the reason that we're at war, not because of President Bush's ambitions to take over Iraq and kill innocent civilians just for oil.

I agree. I can't imagine the pain this man is going through.
When my mother died, my aunt yelled at her funeral that my sisters and myself pulled the plug on her.
My mother was never on life support.
People blurt out things when they grieve.

The father was on TV this morning and apologized for his remarks made yesterday regarding the President. He said that he was upset at the news and lashed out without thinking. NBC knows this but chose to report this on a negative spin.

I happened to surf by a local (Baltimore) TV station this morning and the father was making another appearance. Seemed like he was backing off a bit, stating that he was very emotional when he made his original statement.
I'm willing to give the guy a pass.

I will ditto that. I cannot be critical of someone, anyone who has made that sacrifice.
Not now, not ever.

Yes, it was for real, and unless your heart is made of stone you would most likely have done the same.
After some time passed (less than 24 hrs.) the father apologized live on TV for what he characterized as words spoken that should never have been uttered.

The family name is Waters-Bey. IIRC, members of the Moorish Muslim sect all have names ending in "-Bey". This sect has been known for using it's religion as a cover for drug-dealing, muder-for-hire, and money laundering. They are a violent bunch.

Thanx. I had been looking for a post but could not find it.

He was a chopper maintenance specialist. there was a picture of him on MSNBC that showed him in a hangar some place. Nice looking fellow.
I believe the chopper went down due to some mechanical malfunction and exploded on the ground. It had not left its base when it dropped to the earth, according to the SKY News reporter who witnessed the crash.
His father spews anti-American poison. Wonder why? Is he a "calpyso louey" follower?
To: Blue Collar Christian
I agree!
But, that having been said, I expressed similar thoughts last night and some got kinda huffy.
I still do not believe the father honored his son's memory by whoring for the Dem's on national TV.
Flame away!
