I agree. The silent majority is speaking out in these Rallies for America across the country, and we are making known our passionate support for this great country, our troops, and our president. The lowlives who are protesting against the war are just fueling our flames of patriotism.
Your assertion is true, Dan. And youve hit on exactly what needs to be done. But accomplishing it has proved to be anything but a cake walk -- or we would have reached that particular milestone long ago. After all, the leftists have enjoyed a virtually unfettered voice in the mainstream media since the sixties, and as soon as their mic was activated, the righteous crusade to turn it off (or at least to provide equal time for the other side) began. So weve been fighting this battle for forty +/- years. I think were making headway, but we cant afford to let the battle drag on for another forty. There will be no republic to save, and truth will have become just some inconvenient, abstract concept that people used to admire (once upon a time .)
One of the most unfortunate aspects of this battle to disseminate the truth/reveal the ideological liars is that their playbook, as originally written, led to some pretty horrific successes but successes nonetheless.
In Mein Kampf, Hitler asserts that the five main focuses of effective propaganda must be: (1) calling the masses attention to certain facts whose significance is conveniently placed within their field of vision, (2) aiming the so-called facts at the most limited in intelligence among those being addressed, (3) understanding the emotional ideas of the masses and appealing to those emotions, (4) relying on the masses power of forgetting (Hitler called that power enormous), and (5) endless repetition.
Is there any question but that the leftists among our (so-called) leadership make use of all five of those points as if they represented the leftist catechism? (James Carville, and his mindless sloganeering, could serve as the modern day Mein Kampf poster boy).
(What the heck is wrong with Mary Matalin anyway ? :)
We can successfully battle the effects of such propaganda only by undermining its tenets. And the only way to do that is to educate (thereby raising the appeal to the limited intelligence bar) and remind (thereby undermining their reliance on the publics limited short-term memory).
Then the focus of our task becomes seizing such opportunities & the 'Rat itself does the heavy lifting by revealing their own hypocracy(s), contradiction(s) & outright lie(s) .... If they" won't believe what we have to say about the 'Rat, then, skillfully permit the 'Rat to say it for us.
Then we must repeat evidence of their hypocrisy/contradictions/outright lies over and over (hoping that we enjoy a semblance of a media voice in order to do so) so that the public gets it. And, when the public shows signs of forgetting, we must find (by simply opening our eyes) more hypocrisy/contradiction/lies to uncover .... until even the average (formerly brainwashed) Joe is able to connect the dots himself.
Great post, Dan.
Thanks for the compliment, Search4Truth. But we are certainly willing to concede that FReeper men are also a formidable force. FReepers rule!
And it is so good to now have a President we can respect and trust to do what's right for our country. It was so different five years ago! Good to hear from you, mombonn.
If the national media were to be believed, this would be a nation of Michael Moron clones.
Pelicans up!
Pelicans Up Indeed!
BTW, where's Irma?
