"My wife says she bets the schools will hire special counselors" Who will probably encourage them to take part in anti-war protests to relieve stress. These people disgust me.

CNN - gun shots at the 101st camp
To: texxie
Unidentified bag that doesn't look like military equipment - everyone moving away. Not taking chances - will check to see if it's a bomb. soldier sitting outside tent saw the grenade roll by. At least 10 wounded now; 6 seriuosly. Attacked leadership tents at 101st Airborne division in Kuwait. Holding two Arabs for questioning - not sure if just in wrong place at wrong time. Gunshots now on open line with Time magazine reporter at that position.

Gunshots heard on Jim Lacey's phone line--Lou Dobbs, CNN
To: Dolphy
I fortunately was raised in a family, like you, that treasures this country and the opportunity it has provided. Glad to hear it, Dolphy. We just have to keep teaching them . . . Thankfully, after 9/11, I see people much more willing to learn. Maybe the election last Nov. was proof that they are paying attention?

I don't know if anyone on this thread has mentioned it, but I heard Anne Garrelts of NPR (not exactly the VRWC), who is in Baghdad, describe her visit to the hospital to visit some of the 207 claimed victims of the American bombing.
She said (paraphrasing) that all the injured that she saw appeared to be wounded by antiaircraft fire rather than U.S. bombing, though I don't know how she could tell the difference.

have they stated the cause yet?

It was a hand grenade attack
To: Catspaw
Treating as terrorist attack - definitely a heads up for more cautious perimeter security for all our troops.

I disagree that that is the distinction. Under the clothing distinction, our un-uniformed fighters in the revolutionary war were terrorists.
In my mind, it is what they attack that determines whether it is an act of terrorism or an act of war.
Taking out the command of a military unit invading your country is good strategy. (how is it different than our first bunker-busters on Saddam).
I hope they catch who is responsible and kill him.

Free Romanians and Iraqis may change a few lib. minds. Thanks, RC. I certainly hope so! :o)
To: Tree of Liberty
It's not very smart for terrorists to mess with that 101st camp. I don't think they want to beard that lion or the Screaming Eagles are going to take it out on their homeboys up north in Iraq--with interest.

Damn, damn, damn. How in hell did ANYONE get that close to our troops? It's got to be al Qaeda.
