They assured us all the time progress was being made without war in the matter of securing Iraq's disarmament. Just give us a couple of months or something to that effect... Right now I've given the TV a break til after the local news. Nightline will be replaced tonight by around the clock coverage of the war which began yesterday morning. If any one asks, I don't have FOX News yet...

Reconnaissance photographs: Iraqi artillery units preparing to use chemical warfare shells... But...but...but...the anti-U.S. Leftists and U.N. Appeaseniks assured us that Iraq didn't have any chemical weapons!!
I feel so...F---ING VINDICATED!
Time to haul those Useful Idiots out by the short 'n curlies!!

According to Democrats, there is no smoking gun! Curiously enough, I'm puzzled as to why nobody ever called the Democrats onto the carpet over their insistence that their had to be a "smoking gun."
Don't those fools know that a gun only smokes AFTER it's been fired??
Sheesh!

Does my logic seem reasonable? When I read your post, I was lost by the time I got to the end. When I leaned back in my chair to think about it, your screen name from that distance looked like "Babbling Babboon." At that point, I just decided tht your post wasn't meant to be understood.
(After posting this, I'm sure I'll find out what MY screen name looks like from a distance. :-) )

If reconnaissance can see this, then we can take them out BEFORE they're fired. Sorry to be an Iraqi artilleryman....Hope they have chem gear and lots of atrapine.

Does my logic seem reasonable? Your logic is absolutely reasonable. If the logic fails, then consider the basic assumptions.

"This then means the reason he is not impotent is because he has WMDs. If you have them you have to use them. He made the decision NOT to cooperate with inspectors ergo he HAS to use his weapons. Surely the very reason we had to have this war in the first place is because it wasn;t going to be an easy war. So the irony is - if it was an easy war we shouldn't have had it in the first place. Does my logic seem reasonable?"
You logic only works if you assume Saddam is alive. Drop that assumption and the current scenario makes sense. There is no command structure left and no field General wants to be the one to order the use of the WMD against an enemy about to squash them. We may have really lucked out early in the game here, although I am a firm believer that you make your own luck. Just stick to the 6 P principle.
