I weep for Virgina because they have to border a state where the fool lives.

This is classic psy-opt warfare ploy. The story is an obvious plant by the Iraqi's. No U.S. Senator would say this sort of crap, let alone the "conscience of the Senate".
< /end sarcasm >
Un-f***ing-believable. The (U.S.) Democrats are self-destructing along with the French. Maybe its an integrity-munching-virus or something .. I dunno.
Regrets.. all, SFS

Today I weep for my country Today I spit on Grand Kleegle Byrd.
We avoid our solemn duty to debate the one topic on the minds of all Americans,
Hmm, Sheeted One, you and the rest of Congress did that some time ago when you debated, and vote FOR authorizing the President to use force in Iraq. Pursuent to that resolution, the President notified Congress today that such use is indeed required, that Iraq does present a threat to the US, even though he could have waited until some time after hostilities comenced, 48 hours IIRC.
Either propose articles of Impeachment, or more properly get a like minded Representative to do so, or shut your yap, until the war is over and the troops are home.

Can we put him, Daschle, Kaptur, McDermott, and Kucinich before a firing squad?
To: pubmom
Robert Byrd is a pathetic dope with a bad conscience.

The oldest voice in the U.S. Congress... At 85, Byrd is now the oldest member of Congress ...As the white-haired senator concluded his remarks... Ah, come on Reuters ~~ next time have the guts to print the adjective you really want to use to describe Byrd~~~"SENILE".

They're really his words. I wouldn't (and didn't) make them up.
Read them here second to the last paragraph.
I've got to wonder...
Where is the outrage by black America?
Can you imagine what we'd hear if he were a Republican?

Our military men and women now in harms way, deserve better than the likes of Tommy Dashole and Bobby Turd. Both have apparently put their personal ambitions and the welfare their minority party above that of the country they were elected to serve.

"Today I weep for my country," said West Virginia Democrat Sen. Robert Byrd.
So, he's weeping for Iraq?
To: Paul Atreides
I'm not sure of Byrd and Daschle, but Kaptur, McDermott, and Kucinich went way over the top with that little stunt they pulled today

"No more is the image of America one of strong, yet benevolent peacekeeper. ... Around the globe, our friends mistrust us, our word is disputed, our intentions are questioned. "We flaunt our superpower status with arrogance," I guess it takes a real klansman to understand arrogance. Go figure.
To: pubmom
Hey Bob -- you perfidious dope -- the rest of us weep for our country every time you get re-elected.
