You're right - Chamberlainism is the core doctrine of Carter.

I've known that there were some decent Dem voices on this, including [shudder] Lieberman's. Rush said something really interesting today that he'd noticed that Gore has been keeping his piehole shut, and that it is an appreciated gesture.

Like Blair, those with integrity can "get it". Frankly, with this type of liberal, the goals aren't really so different, but its the ends to the goal that we dispute. Under those circumstances, we can find agreement in critical areas of national defense.
I'm waiting for a Dem senator to step into the shoes of Sam Nunn.

The man is hard for them to touch because of his history, though. We need to remember that he is helping
significantly, since he is putting his neck on the line publicly.
I like to think that many were disappointed and mad, LOL.

Interesting how quickly a bandwagon loads up once the parade starts.

The more voices chime in, the more France is left in the dust. Heheh.

I don't remember him doing that - I'd be very surprised, because he was reliable during the Reagan years (but my memory sucks lately, so I could be wrong).

I respect anyone....even someone with whom I disagree on about everything else when they at least have the decency to nut up when the going gets rough and do the right thing.
This may be the only time I'll ever applaud Andy..but..HEAR!!>>HEAR!!

Kudos to Andrew Young for learning from past mistakes (unlike his former boss), but I need to read more about Young's ideas to find out if he's a true stalwart yet. He still sounds timid to me, but that could have been due to his audience.
Here's a collection of reports (which may include the one cited in this article) for any of us to read if we have time: NSSG papers, etc...
There's also some stale backlash to the 14 member commitee's response, of a familiar type.
