"Why email the consulate? Your problem is in D.C. with a two party system both holding the exact same no border agenda."

Bingo, MAP!

"This is getting downright spooky. Who would have thunk that our two boardering neighbors would turn their backs on us in our time of need? How can anyone condemn us for protecting our own and the world from a tyrant willing to use WOMD and collude with terrorists, especially after 9/11?"

demkicker...we're too nice to these ingrates. We have fundamental problems with our diplomacy. They know we want to be loved by everyone, so we try to promote a sovereign Canada and Mexico. They take advantage of that by "dumping" on us. The harder they kick us the more the libs/state dept types grovel and grab their ankles. The soviets understood the problem...it's better to be feared than loved.

But, and this a is a very big but right now... they supply us with much of our petroleum needs. That's the only reason the gummint will probably do nothing to get back at the Mexicans for their cowardice and failure to support us. Once the Iraqi oil is secured (and it will be), then we buy oil from Iraq and they can rebuild their country. Mexico can then be erased as a supplier. Then ship out all illegals to where they belong! Anyone agree?

As for Chile, close down their free trade status. Have they returned to communism after we helped them rid their country of the commies? What idiocy!

"Last week I heard some of our Congressmen say that they had told Mexico to forget amnesty if they didn't back us."

Did you literally 'hear' this or read it and can you back it up and who were the Congressmen? Thanks.

If you buy gasoline, chances are that you are burning Mexican or even Canadian oil. That should make you wonder (but send all illegals home now!)

After we invade Iraq, on to Mexico. I also want to see the New Department of Homeland InSecurity conduct a massive immigration sweep and kick these parasites back across the border. Mexico is no friend of the United States and their position on this war is not acceptable considering the number of illegal aliens that United States citizens are subsidizing with free education, free healthcare and so on. The boycott should be on Mexico considering that they are our so called neighbor and all the freebies they get, who cares what the French think anyhow.

You nailed it. Clearly, our neighbors (and other so-called allies) need to be taken to the wood shed over this blatant slap in our face. House cleaning is WAAAAY overdue at the State Department.

Didn't Fox say last week he wanted the border opened? Bush wanted the world to show their hands and both our "good" neighbors have. Very telling. Very telling indeed. Let's hope the politicians and American taxpayers will not have short memories.

Fox had repeatedly said he opposed a war without U.N. backing, but said Monday that stance should not change strong ties with Mexico's northern neighbor.

Bush: You're with us, or you're with the terrorists

September 23, 2001 -- Chicago Sun-Times
BY ART GOLAB AND JULIE PATEL STAFF REPORTERS

In its war on terrorism, the United States is finding out who its true friends are.

Traditional allies--such as Great Britain and Canada--quickly stepped up to offer support.

NATO took things further, invoking a rarely used clause in its charter that says that if one member of the alliance is attacked, it is considered an attack on them all.

And on Friday, the European Union gave its backing to a "targeted" response against countries harboring terrorists and said it was ready to help. /...Snip../

If the president means what he says and says what he means, Mexico is in for a very big surprise real soon (such as the military being placed along the border and a massive round-up of all these loathsome illegals). Don't count on it, though.

''The international community should have the creativity to ensure that peace prevails,'' he said.

This from a country that just recently stopped using stone tablets and chisels in their schools.

Mexico is no friend of the United States.

Anyone with a brain knows this, yet we continue to allow the Mexican government and their people to piss on our laws and crap on us.

It's really amazing the kind of crap we take from non-Americans....Stunning.....
