A new kind of Freep? Ive been over at Amazon and Barnes and Noble this morning writing one-star reviews on all Monkey Chicks CDs. Below is what Ive been putting in. Takes a couple of days to show up, but its a slow morning. Worked well for Al Gores recent published masterpieces. Really upsets the natives. Have fun!
Dixie pork rind Chicks are not Country Artists
The Dixie Chicks and especially lead singer Natalie Maines are not country music artists. They are shallow anti-American trained monkeys. I'm throwing this CD and all other pork rind music in the trash can today. I will never purchase another CD from these fat low talent loudmouths again.

BREAKING NEWSFLASH: Natalie Maines' spokesperson just announced that the singer had been taking botox injections, and an abberant reaction to the shots had caused her mouth to form and utter words that her her brain had not really meant to say..

This is not Maines' first foray into political comment. Last year, when country singer Toby Keith wrote his pro-America song Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue, Maines called it "ignorant" and said the tough-talking song "makes country music sound ignorant." And telling a London audience that you're ashamed of the president sounds smart?
How about "all of the above?"
I though Toby Keith was just pandering to the hindbrain-dominant, redneck crowd with his song. It was just a stupid song.
Maines was pandering to the effecte Euro-crowd. Hers was just a stupid comment.
I'm not partial to any of them. I think Keith's song is just the flip side of "Allahu Akbar!" and treats with triviality the serious notions of self-defense and self-protection.
Maines comments about "being concerned about loss of life" are equally asinine, since they imply support for the continuation of a brutal dictatorship that has killed millions and almost certainly has had a hand in global terrorism against Americans over the years.
Time for the kiddies to move aside. The adults are now in charge.

Lots of comments on the guestbooks like at NatalieMaines.com
If you do a google search for Natalie Maines you can find websites with guestbooks. Amazing to see all the comments on them.

The upside to this firestorm is that all the patriotic Americans, who are the majority, by the way, are finally coming out of the woodwork. Many Americans are tolerant of those who are naive and still have a lot of growing up to do. But we've patronized this kind of nonsense long enough. It's time for us to act like adults and start spanking these children (or at least put them in a corner for a while).
The Dixie Chicks are officially "on time out" in this house. We'll decide later whether or not we will put them up for adoption. Is anybody interested in adopting a trio of spoiled-rotten little girls.
Anyway, at least there is plenty of great country music out there to listen to. Toby Keith, Darryl Worley, Clint Black, Aaron Tippin, Alan Jackson, etc. Of course there is old-time country music as well that will live forever...like Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, George Jones and Patsy Cline.

hind-brain dominant red-neck crowd?
ever see the music video that accompanies this song?

The Dixie Chicks sang the national anthem at the last Super Bowl. That would have been a perfect forum for them to launch their anti Bush remarks. Wonder why they didn't take advantage of such a huge international audience ?Isn't Dixie a politically incorrect term nowadays? How come the NAACP isn't demanding they change their name??
