Dixie Bimbos: Hope for your sake you can sell a lot of CDs across the pond, because I have a feeling that you won't sell many more here. And no more sold-out concerts. (Note to aspiring artists: Know who your audience is. Don't go out of your way to alienate the ones who are supporting you.)

They're coming to my town, Pittsburgh, at the the Mellon Arena in June. While the radio station where I work isn't country, we're involved in the concert and giving away tickets in some of our promos.

The only song we play from the chixsie dicks is "Landslide" which kinda tells you where their music is going. (Not that it was Real Country to begin with) Don't know how I'm gonna handle the promos if I have to do them on the air. As it is while I have to play the song, I DON'T have to back announce it and so I don't.

Gosh it sure wouldn't hurt to let my station (WSHH) know what you think about the chixie dicks. Anyone reading this >could< let them know by visiting here:

WSHH 99.7FM

or easier yet just email :

webmaster@wshh.com

and let them know.

Radio stations LOVE input!

Interesting...but he forgot to pay his taxes. Isn't it ironic?

He didn't forget to pay them,he had a lot of his tax dodges denied by the IRS,and ended up owing something like $17 million in back taxes, penalities, and fines. Willie wants the whole world fed, clothed, housed, and given free medical care,he just doesn't want Willie to be one of the ones having to pay for it. Typical leftie.

As far as the Dixie Chicks go from my standpoint I might recognize 1 or 2 songs by them and thats it.

The only one I know is the "Earl" one,and I wouldn't know it if it hadn't gotten so much attention on tv. I've also seen them play other songs on tv,and they really seem like talented musicians. I'm just not into "Fem-Liberation Country",though.

If they came up to me I wouldn't know who they are. The ongoing ignoring of them will continue.

Same here. I never bought or was even tempted to buy any of their albums before, and it doesn't seem likely that I will be changing my mind in the future. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You mean actions like stealing?

I wouldn't say something like that.

I guess you'll just have to read between the lines and, always, let your conscience be your guide.

Perhaps they are trolling for a place on the Sheryl Crow ISO (Iraqi Services Organization) tour. The only thing is, would anyone notice them if they were dressed in Burqas.

Ok...thanks for the clarification. The one song I know by them from the radio is There's your trouble. Kind of fitting to what they have unleashed.

Y'know... those compact discs should work just fine in this application:

Tried it. They've got no axial stability, even with a good spin. They just pitch over and drop real fast, no flight at all.

I was afraid that might be the case, due to the light weight. Seems like the right kind of launcher should get some sort of flight out of the things, sort of like those old toy guns that launched the little quarter-sized plastic discs. Hmmm.... :-)

Ah well, no need to overthink this. There's a big machinegun shoot coming up on April 11-13 in Knob Creek, KY. Perhaps there's time to arrange a special "Dixie Chicks" event! Even if those discs won't fly, they'd still make dandy stationary targets.

Not that there would be much left to mail to the Chicks' manager...
