That should say "anti-French sentiment" in the first line.

LOL!

Security concerns.....they better be focused on occupancy concerns.

I understand "Accord" hotels are also French. Is that true? (Red Roof, Motel 6, etc.)

French flags no longer are flying high and proud outside the Sofitel Hotel in midtown Manhattan. The French-owned hotel chain replaced them with the Stars and Stripes as a peace offering to its American guests solid white ones that they feel better represent the attitudes of the French.

fixed it for them...

And they immediately raised the White Flag.

Yes, that is true. I heard it from Bill O'Reilly on "The Factor." He named those two specifically.

What do you call it when you lower your country's flag and raise the flag of your "enemy"?

What? Say it louder! I CAN'T HEAR YOU!!!

Americans aren't practicing terrorism at the moment, so I doubt that they have any real security concerns. But they do have to worry about room occupancy. I wouldn't even consider staying in a French hotel or motel now, or eat in a French restaurant, or fly Air France. And of course I wouldn't have bought a Pugeot on a bet, even before this happened.

I laid in four cases of French wine a month or two before this situation blew up, so I don't have to worry yet whether or not to give that up. I'm not it would be better to support Gray Davis by buying Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. But we'll cross that bridge when we come to it.

Paul Charoy said the company last week decided to remove the French flags in front of all eight of its hotels in the U.S. as a "precautionary" measure ........................

I hope that is an attempt to soften FALLING BOOKINGS.
I know not patronizing French products is strictly an emotional reaction to the Frogs attitudes in the UN, BUT IT FEELS GOOD. As silly as it is, it is time to show the French how the unwelcome American feels about their VOTE and lobbying other nations against us. Love me you got to love my money.

I'm not it would be better to support Gray Davis by buying Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon.

Washington State produces some fine wines -- and Texas has a budding wine industry too. When I could drink wine (I'm allergic to the sulphites in it now) I was partial to Romanian and Australian wines too.
