I'd prefer to agree with most of the other views on this thread, but I think we have to prepare for the likelihood that the Labour Party will depose Blair and pull out of the coalition if anything at all goes wrong on the drive to Baghdad. They are extemely wobbly and Blair needs to roll nothing but sevens from now on or he's gone.

40 votes is a lot to come up with, even in the house..

We will find out if Blair takes Britain to war without what the Labour swing votes have demanded - UN approval. I think his margin of safety will evaporate quickly in that case, and it seems inevitable.

Many UK politicians have switched parties, including my hero - Winston Churchill.

Doubt Blair could remain PM, though. The electorate votes for a party not an individual.

Keep the faith, Tony.

It is irritating that morons can demand Blair's resignation without giving a realistic scenario for disarming Saddam and ending the threat that a WMD will be delivered to the UK via containership. Obviously this person is a fool and a coward.

LOL. Sorry, as the President of Mega-Ugly's West Texas Chapter, I should've been more considerate.

And the Iraqis have called the British compromise out of the question so it appears we have our answer.

"Tam Dayell, a veteran of Britian's Labour Party and the oldest member of the House of Commons, called on Monday for the resignation of United Kingdom Prime Minister Tony Blair over his policy on Iraq."
