LMAO--what a card! I may have to buy an album of his, just to support him for that viewpoint. Now, nobody in the house will listen to it, but artists who have that kind of clarity should be rewarded somehow.

Johnny Ramone offered a straight-faced, "God bless President Bush, and God bless America." Dee Dee Ramone chose not to offer thanks to influences or industry friends. " I'd like to congratulate myself and thank myself and give myself a pat on the back," he said with punk glee. "Thank you, Dee Dee."No wonder I've always loved these guys - God bless the Ramones!

AP leaves out the second half of N Young's statement...

"We're gonna be killing a lot of people next week. ... We're making a terrible mistake. I feel like I'm in a huge SUV and the driver is drunk as a skunk."

What an a-hole.

Glenn Beck was originally planning the Rally for America at the Rock and Roll Hall of Shame, but they "pulled out" because they didn't want it to "turn political."
Well Duh, you Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Dimwits. You have no integrity you hypocritical numb nuts!
You won't cath me paying 20 bucks to see Elvis's hairbrush!

Actually he said "I'm in a huge SUV and the driver is drunk with POWER." Saw the video tape of it myself this morning.

Not that it matters much. Very sad for me personally that NY would think this way and say that. Not surprising really. I learned how to play guitar playing his music.

As a man in his 40's, I recently got my first car CD player and was in the market for some NEil Young CD's. No longer.

I'm going to pick up some Kid Rock stuff though, and it will get listened to. He DOES rock.
God Bless America and George W!

I was a big fan of NY myself.

Thanks for correcting the quote....I cut and pasted it from the NY Daily News web site.

The induction ceremonies are in New York (those New Yorkers don't want to go to Cleveland). The musuem is in Cleveland.

You are welcome to boycott both but the inductees and the Hall almost seem to have little to do with each other (exhibits include non-inducted performers and there are many that they deliberately overlook while giving Hall status to non-rock and roll performers).

War protests hit the stage of Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction

Hmm....wasn't that the same place that barred average citizens from holding a Rally for America at the Hall of Fame?

Keyboard player Steve Nieve referred to the 1970s hit, "War," asking, "What is it good for? Absolutely nothing."

I wonder if this simpleton Nieve feels that the U.S.'s involvement in WWII was good for absolutely nothing.
