Has Ms. Boxer, or any Dem, explained how the health of the mother can be affected by an 80 percent birthed baby having scissors jammed through it's skull? It seems that at that point the least invasive act to the mother is to let the head slip out. Leaving the head in has to be more dangerous to her.

Dems must defend the science of "the health of the mother" exception. As a sophomore scientist, I believe it is a sham.

Estrada is on the docket tomorrow, after (an hour?) of debate on PBA. Then, back to PBA, with a vote to occur before the end of the week. Then, Estrada again. Two balls in the air. The GOP can walk and chew gum at the same time.

Let's hope he request a vote on Estrada before he leaves the Chair.

Not to make anyone feel any worse about the partial birth abortion, but a nurse on tv a few years ago, had participated in a few of the abortions and quit! She said the baby actually cries or screams, when the sissors are inserted. (I can't get past her statement.)

I think some GOP member will request the vote. I don't think it is (usually) the function of the presiding officer to request the vote, rather, the function is to preside over the deliberative process and maintain parliamentary order.

I am positive that his presence will change the demeanor and have the effect of serious escalation of heat. E.g., by providing a reason for more media soundbites. I don't know if this was scheduled. The announcement on CSPAN went by, as if it was not unusual.

Not to mention thrusting out their hands and legs and stiffening at the moment they are stabbed.

I'll step out on a limb here and say, this is a big deal.

The Senate dems will have to be educated in the errors of their ways and why what they're doing now is unconstitutional. Hopefully we'll all learn somethin'.

I'm sure they do, the poor dear little babies. It was like a knife went into my stomach when I heard what she had to say. I think every Democrap should have to witness (in person) just one of these procedures.

Looks like they brought the big gun out with Vice President Cheney. He will slam the rats but good this is all about the constitution.

here is his oath/ against all enemies, foreign and domestic

"I do solemnly swear that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic, that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same: that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion, and I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter. So help me God."

Yes. CSPAN announcer casually mentioned that Cheny was scheduled to preside over Senate proceedings tomorrow, as the Senate considers the constitutional separation opf powers as respects approval of judical nominees. I heard it with my own ears, and there is no URL to that location (http://cboldt-ears.com)

Something tells me there are quite a number of lib/dem women in Congress who are dealing with their own bloodguilt as they try to justify this procedure.

Boxer would be one. If she starts crying on the Senate floor I'm not sure how I would be able to deal with that.
