Break out the tranquilizer darts.

It might be more effective to simply cut the trees down
with the protesters still in them. It doesn't make sense for anybody to risk injury by climbing up after them.
Besides, wouldn't it be more satisfying to the protesters' urge for martyrdom if they died along with their precious plantlife?

This is where the enviro-whacks are taking us Maggie. We'll all be eating fruit, giving up bathing and fighting amongst ourselves in the treetops. Just like monkeys. Talk about devolution.
I know Mark is going to be pissed at me for saying this, but I love the stories we hear every now and again when one of them falls.

Can someone please tell me how these people can survive in a tree for months? Do they really not come down at night? What about supplies, not to mention how they handle #1 and #2!

Should deliver the notes with arrows until they "Get" the message!

A good dose of tear gas might expedite their decent. If not, just cut off their supply of water and food. Those that try to bring them supplies can be charged with obstruction of justice, or interfering with a crime scene.

Have you ever seen what happens when a bean bag is fired by a 12 gauge 3" shotgun up the side of the head of a filthy hippie?

They have a bunch of support. They are brought food and water. They also build platforms. There waste is hauled off by their friends. They are brought cell phones etc. It's quite the production.

I believe they tried that recently. I don't remember how it turned out. I think the guy attempted to plea bargain from the tree. He said he would come down if they promised not to prosecute.

I just got off the phone with their spokesperson, Mary Bullwinkel. I expressed my support for their company, and asked if there was anything I could do to help.
She said that they get beat up so much that if anyone wanted to email her any opinions, she would pass them on to the rest of the people at the company.
So, please let Mary know how you feel:

We might not be able to shoot them out, or cut down the tress, but certainly we can give some support to those on the front lines. I'm sure none of them get paid enough to have to deal with these lunatics.
