Yes, the killings at Kent State ended the fun; just like when the National Guard was called out to shut down the "fun" in Isla Vista near UC Santa Barbara when the stupid fool anti-war protestors burned the Bank of America building.... yeah, a real laugh riot....

Oh, c'mon! The Vietnam protests were about as idealistic as the activities of Benedict Arnold or Alger Hiss. They were anti-American to the core. In fact, some of the same old Leftist creeps from that era helped organize this one.

The local papers in Dubai said that when the human shields showed up, they were told that they either had to position themselves in areas most likely to be hit, or else leave the country. At that point, a good number of the shields balked and took off.
I didn't know about them being denied service at hospitals and having their cellphones taken, though. That's just too funny.

I am really disappointed that they won't get a one way first class ticket to the resurrection ala Scarface.

I was in Cuyahoga Falls in 1970, and I remember the Guard running tanks down Summit Ave on their way to Kent.
I also remember my father sleeping on the couch with a shotgun because the instigators of the riot were promising to leave the campus and 'burn the burguoise in their beds'. Dad was pretty sure that they meant us.
I don't feel sorry for those people in the lease. Throwing rocks, molotov cocktails, and bags of human excrement at armed men is an extremely bad idea. Burning down other peoples property in front of armed men is an equally bad idea.
If you're going to take on the National Guard, do it properly. Otherwise you're just going to end up dead.
