Rush said the Fox story was inaccurate. He said we had been told the Republicans were standing strong and the president gave a very strong statement, then along comes Fox and contradicts it. That story was wrong and he now understands the "strategery". The dems are backing themselves in a corner. They are in a lose-lose situation. Rush sounds like he "gets it" now and approves, as long as the Republicans stick with it (my comment: they will.).

Thanks. I hope he's right, but I saw Sen Roberts live on FNC Sunday and neither his answers nor his body language gave me a lot of confidence.

How do you get that wrong?
Problem is our side is confused and told Rush its not a filibuster over the weekend and on cspan today say its a filibuster. They need to get their stories stright and make the democrats go 24/7 or we will lose this.....

He was spun to that is what happened. So he tried to explain it but moments later on cspan the spin was showed to be just that.

24/7 is the only way.

Yeah, the GOP senators seem to be reading off different sheets of music. I must say I really don't think they know what to do. On Brit Hume tonight they said a cloture vote will be called soon, that the GOP will lose it, but that the GOP says that will be "just the beginning of the fight for Estrada." I fully admit I know little about the rules of order and even less about the arcane Senate rules, but do our guys really know what's going on?

The cloture rule–Rule 22–is the only formal procedure that Senate rules provide for breaking a filibuster.

The answer is if they do not force a 24 7 filibuster and instead call for the cloture and lose this is what the democrats will do to everything they do not want passed by Bush. Forget tax cuts forget Pickering forget it all.
