Even if they do not, they ought to run a disinformation campaign to broadcast to the Iraqis and claim Saddam is dead. Get a dummy actor to play the part of his corpse. That will drag him up to deny it or else greatly help turn the tide. This might be easy.

Things dont look so good for Iraq's military if they have to spend so much materiel and men to keep the troops from revolting and surrendering.....usually this stuff happens towards ends of wars as the defeated side knows they are going to lose. Not even waiting for the war to start to take care of deserters and revolters

Right, all Saddam's fake play against him during crunch time, cuz no one will know who the real Saddam is, even his own people. It is hard enough in the "fog of war" to tell who is legit, and this makes it easy to build a huge fog machine. :-)

I have a friend who was a Ranger in the Somalia fiasco. He took two rounds, and still made it out with the others, running miles.
