Proof positive that character matters in our leaders

President Bush is clearly a man of integrity, honor, and deep religious faith. His genuineness comes across clearly even to those who disagree with him. This is a man who has the moral authority to take the courageous stands he has taken--and has inspired support for those stands.

These qualities that we so admire are the same ones which leave the lefties quaking in their booties with fear and loathing. Their support goes to men who leave their lovers to drown in upside-down cars and to women who oppose executing murderers yet support extinguishing the life of the unborn.

Nonsense. Clinton (and Reno) let this corrupt mindset fester and grow for 8 years. Bush (and Ashcroft) came into town and cleaned up the mess.....and you blame Bush?

Cleaning up the mess remains to be seen. The middle ground lies somewhere between Clinton is Satan and George Bush is a saint whose ____ don't smell. It's sad to say, but I don't think any politician can be fully trusted, especially in matters of money. This article is a puff piece with a heart of hypocrisy.

Enron cozied up to Clinton and the Democrats too. But they were also one of the largest contributors to Bush's political career. Now you're telling me, axxmann, that it's all Clinton fault, despite the fact that the Enron links to numerous members of the Bush Administration - Bush, Cheney, Rove, and Ashcroft, to name just a few - are well documented?

It seems to me that everyone shared in the corrupt mindset. The Republicans wanted to stick it to Clinton for his obvious failings in the personal integrity department, but were quite happy to overlook his dealings with Enron, as many were in on it too. The individuals mentioned above were linked to Enron before, during, and after Clinton was in office.

You must not have been paying attention during the initial playout of the Enron debacle. Enron came to the Bush administration folks with a request for a bailout or some sort of assistance to avoid bankruptcy; an assist they apparently had every reason to expect to be viewed favorably based on their relationship with the previous administration (that would be Clinton).

The Bush people declined to help.

Not only so, but Enron began scamming its investors during the Clinton Administration--by the time Bush took office Enron's stockholders had already been cheated, and just didn't know it.
