Personally, I would want to know.

On that last day I would eat a good meal, then I would drive to a high place taking my favorite music, a bottle of Napoleon Brandy and a fine cigar to dip in it.

There I would listen to my tunes and watch the end of mankind unfold.

I would be determined to die better than the Dinosaurs

ASTEROIDS AND SECRECY: IF END IS NIGH, DO YOU WANT TO KNOW

As long as Samantha Carter knows, I don't need to.

Revelation 18:21 "And a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone, and cast it into the sea, saying, Thus with violence shall that great city Babylon be thrown down, and shall be found no more at all."

"Would you want to know?"

Heck, yes I want to know. If you're afraid to die, then you're not prepared to live.

I'd like a couple of months notice. There are some guns that I would like to build that I wouldn't otherwise in normal circustances

I don't think I would want to know, or as others put it- I would not want to be involved in how others might react if everyone knew.

This reminds me of a story my grandfather told about his father's reaction to a comet (not sure which one) that was supposed to end the world in the late 1800s-early 1900s. It seems many, especially in the rural area where my family lived who were convinced the world would end because of this comet; I'm not clear if they thought the comet would hit the earth or if they believed the comet was fortelling the end of the world from some other cause.

The scenerio was that no one did any work for several days other than what little it took to feed the animals and people they were responsible for. Many were in church praying, many were fishing or otherwise relaxing. Some were just hanging around the house worrying and waiting to see what would happen. My great-grandfather was building fence. A neighbor came by and asked him why he was building fence when the world was about to end. His reply was that if the world did not end, he would have his fence built and if it did come to an end, then at least he was kept busy not worrying about it by building the fence.

The media accounts centered around the words of one graduate student (the press variously and erroneously called him a scientist, a researcher and a government adviser).

Fake, but accurate.

Dinner of Ameglian Major Cow at Milliways! What a thrill it would be to see Great Prophet Zarquan make his appearance before the end of time.
