Norah deserved every one of them. Her record is fantastic.

BTW. It was good to see her beat Springsteen!

I usually view about 10 minutes of the Grammys before clicking over to I Love Lucy re-runs but, this year I watched the entire event (what was televised anyway).

Was waiting to see who was going to run across the stage naked with anti war crap drawn on his/her buttocks.

Was very happy with the winners, even Emenem, M&M or however he spells it.

Also liked the fact that the producers of the show threatened to pull the plug on anyone who begins a rant about Bush or the impending war with Iraq. That took big ones!

Was a great show.

Best moment...when John Mayer introduced James Taylor.

"...liked the fact that the producers of the show threatened to pull the plug on anyone who begins a rant about Bush or the impending war with Iraq. That took big ones!"

Does anybody have a link to that thread?! He didn't exactly threaten to pull the plug, as I recall, but he did hint that there would be repercussions if anybody went too far off the reservation in either direction. It was an excellent marketing ploy, though, as I have NEVER EVER watched the Grammy's until last night and I was impressed with the restraint the HollyWeirdo/MUZAK crowd is capable of displaying. Were there any particularly egregious displays I missed?!

"Best moment...when John Mayer introduced James Taylor."

I'd never heard of young, Mr. Mayer before last night, but he was purty decent, IMHO...MUD

I would definitly recommend picking up John Mayer's album. No one-hit-wonder here. Every song on the album is excellent. IMHO, "Your Body Is A Wonderland" is a good song, but not the best on the album. To be that talented at that young an age is quite impressive.

I haven't heard the whole album, but "My Stupid Mouth" and "No Such Thing" are both better songs IMO.

The kid is 16!!!!!!

He was unreal. I'm very impressed.

BTW. This was one of the best Grammy shows I've ever seen. For a change it was just about the music. I also thought they did a good job picking the winners.

"I like that Foo Fighters song..."

I've heard OF them but do not recall ever hearing a particular song...are they pretty kewl?!

I went to my daughter's AnnualWinterfest and the dude working the door says, "Hey MUD!!" and I looked at him and it was the band's old bass-player, who was the original bass-player fer "Carbon Leaf" and is--arguably--still the best bass-player "Carbon Leaf" ever had and is definitely the best bass-player I've ever had in the band. He's gotta coupla young'uns just like me, so he's been off the ax fer awhile, but he said Mordecai's got his number and he'll play anywhere, anytime...MUD

That was my impression as well, although I can't recall ever being quite this interested in what the performers were saying about MY POTUS!!

I don't recall it being a concern when Slick Willie was MassMurdering Thousands and Scores (4 score at Waco, give or take a fried child or two)!!

Glad to see the Leftists can disguise their enmity fer US fer three hours...MUD

The Foo Fighters are pretty good. It's Dave Grohl's band. You might remember him as the drummer in Nirvana. We played that song for a while, but audience reaction fizzled after a few weeks.
