Are you going to culinary school?Yes. Dumped over 20 years writing and engineering with DOD contactors and then telecom companies to make a couple of bucks over minimum wage. It's been the best time of my life. ;>)

I have an insert for the grill which is used for fish & other things that fall through the grill rack. It's stopped some of my swear words.
For a side dish with the salmon, get the grill hot & put on asparagus drizzled with olive oil and kosher salt (I use the grill insert). I also parboil little red potatoes (the salad type) cut in half. I drain them, then put them in a covered bowl with some olive oil & either Italian seasoning and/or oregano/basil & marinate for about an hour, then grill until they're browned & sizzling.
You will swoon.
Oh, all I use is a small Sunbeam, but the one I have is bigger than the usual ones and & has an upper rack. There's only one burner, so I can't do any indirect grilling.

"Re-do the entire kitchen and install a Jenn-Aire stove with grill."
Been there. done that. Went with a white Corian counter top.
The down-draft grill is great. Being able to grill indoors is a great convienence, but the grill is not versatile enough for all grilling needs. Example: searing steaks at close high flame. But the grill is still a very nice addition to the household. If anyone goes this way, make sure to get the optional burner set to interchange w/grill.
Here is to a soon to come BBQ season!

Mmmm, you're making me hungry! OK, here is a very easy, can't-go-wrong side dish for the grill: slice big fat yellow onions into about 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch thick circles. Lay then flat on the counter and carefully slide a thin bamboo skewer thru each one, from side to side. Brush with olive oil and sprinkle with coarse salt. Grill away. Awesome!
Ask me about my "secret" chicken shish-kabob marinade and my teriyaki flank steak ;-)

I like propane & propane accessories. It's God's gas.(in the words of Mr. Strickland) Soak some mesquite or hickory chips in water & throw them into the grill. Your mamma will think you spent hours lighting the charcoal. Whoopff, lit & hot in 3 minutes.

Good lookin' grill. You obviously didn't lose your power. If you had, that beauty (and she IS a beauty) would have a path shoveled to 'er and some nice thick ones grilling away........).

Fire that mother up. It'll push back that dusty sparkely stuff. You could sprinkle some on the grill if it fires up too much.
There might even be a chair under there. You don't need an ice chest. Just stick the beer in the white stuff.
You have to make the best of a bad situation.

"who drinks punch, anyway? give me a good bourbon..."You can always pour some bourbon into the punch. Seriously, I was a hold out on gas grills for years. I bought one this summer, however, and get good results with it. I still have a Weber kettle grill but after coming home from work it's nice to fire up the gas grill and be ready to cook in short order.

When I first moved up here, I fired her up the second night. The pork loin, (after marinating in soy sauce with crushed habanero) was almost there when.....I heard sirens, lots of sirens...there was a little snow and it was in the 'teens...and, well, that's how I met my neighbor.
He wasn't used to the wonderful aroma wafting through the air leaks in his older windows and he panicked...called the fire dept. They laughed and went home as I walked over, still holding the spatula, and introduced myself to him and his shivering wife and kids standing on their front walk wrapped in blankets.
He moved soon after. The kids were cute, their little teeth chattering and all...
The pork loin was excellent.

This is true. But what if she's not really going out with him. She could be just seeing him occasionally.

So what kind of "boyfriend" is that? The "boyfriend" word implies some sort of commitment.
