Wesley Clark like John Kerry is one of those "decorated" Viet Nam veterans who NEVER SAW COMBAT! Where did you get that from? Clark was shot four times in Vietnam and has a silver star; Kerry has a silver star and a couple of purple hearts.
Kerry got his purple heart as so many did by being injured in a "combat zone" (he stepped on a broken beer bottle.)
Again, where did you get that from?

I thought Hackworth's opinion didn't count for anything on freep? I have trouble keeping score.
I think the consensus is generally (at least among some FReepers), is that, when it comes to international strategic issues, he is out of his element, but that, when it comes to knowing a good soldier from a Perfumed Prince, or knowing how to train, equip, and lead the average grunt in the field, he is generally without equal -- a soldier's soldier.
