I don't know...

All I am saying is there has been threat after threat for the past year. No arrests have been totally Concrete imo. All I am saying is everytime there is a resistance in the natuaral flow of Government, we have another threat warning.

Again, I hope I am wrong...

And of course, just because it didn't happen on the 12th, doesn't mean it may not happen in the future.

Remember too that 9/11 itself was supposed to occur earlier in the year (sometime in the summer) and it was delayed.

And of course, just because it didn't happen on the 12th, doesn't mean it may not happen in the future.

It also doesn't mean the event wasn't stopped before it happened, which is true in more cases than we know. According to one interview on FNC, they don't publicize their successes very often, lest they give away their methods and informants.

Yet, the media has been strangely silent on this angle, except for Time. I haven't heard it discussed on any of the networks, although one commentator on FNC alluded to it briefly.

Where was this info? I haven't seen any actual dates anywhere. And of course they may have used some code, something simple as add 3 or 5 or wahtever to any date mentioned. I also wondered if all the various numbers mentioned by Bin Laden so carefully, were some coded info.

Think maybe the duct tape foiled an attack for now? Could be it also foiled the rat filibuster. All those that knocked Frist, and we know who they are, might want to reconsider.

I heard it, as well. It was pretty scary, to say the least.

Well ... I'm willing to give Frist the benefit of the doubt - instead of joining the group which says he backed down on his promise to make them filibuster.

The other reason is that after this supposed "backdown" from Frist, there was not a dem media conference laughing at the repubs for backing down; which is their usual style.

From some of these "snippets", I think that the US government doesn't just "think", but knows beyond a shadow of doubt that Al Qaeda has one or more radiological bombs and lethal nerve gas. The only question is not whether they have it, but whether and when they will use them.

I just don't buy it. If they had it...they'd use it. It's that simple. I'm not going to worry about it anyway, if something happens I'll deal with it then. I'll be damned if I'm going to scurry around like some scared squirrel, hoarding plastic and duct tape.

but now I'm wondering if this is why Frist allowed the Senate to recess instead of insisting on a filibuster from the dems

Or maybe he did it to ensure that any filibuster would take place closer to the time that the balloon goes up in Iraq. It would be unseemly for the RATs to be filibustering a judicial appointment when we go to war.

Well, now the ashen description makes sense. But the Congress critters have more folks watching their fannies than the rest of us. Maybe now there'll be less cr@p coming from Congress and more team work. We're all in this together.

Thanks for the link.

The epage, at the end of the article, says it will in the 2/24/03 print version. That's the one hitting the newsstands right now, isn't it?
