A Catholic College, a Billionaire's Idea, Will Rise in Florida

My hubby is an alum and all the school's properties (t-shirts, hats, mugs, etc.) say "Fresno State

Well, that was the old name (I went there too) but after the bureaucrats attached "University" to its name, the college put on new airs for a number of years. I've never called it anything but Fresno State, but I don't live around there any more.

UC Berkeley was always "The University" in my day. (I went there too.) People from other parts of the country don't seem to know the difference, owever.

Thank you for an intelligent response. I am amazed. Thank God for people like Mr. Monaghan. We most certainly need to educate the masses, especially spiritually. All one has to do is read the ignorant responses to this article to know that. How few of you sound like Christians or any of God's people. All I can hear is negative, gossip, and disparaging. There is no power in your words, because they cannot come from God. Truly this is an article for God's people.
The people quoted in the article..they have their own demons to fight, and their own things to answer for. If you disagree, why go to their level? Petition the NY Times for equal time, write a decent editorial opposing them. Vent here about the core of the article. Do something real, instead of complain about the pizza, homosexual priests, a gracious philanthropist and Ava Maria.
By the way, I kinda think that it would make any son very angry to hear someone complain about His mother's name in any context.
